mums in Orpington

Hi there, this is my first time in mumsnet - excluding the message I've posted this morning in reply to a message dated June .... 2009!!!

Anyway..I have been living in Orpington for nearly 2 years now
My husband and I used to live in London before.
My daughter is 7 months, I don't know the area very well and all my friends live and work in London therefore quite difficult to see them on a regular basis..
It would be nice to meet up other mums in the area, for a chat, exchange notes etc.
I've been going to a couple of mums and babies groups but sometimes they get too crowded, plus with beautiful weather approaching is better to be outside!

Let me know if you live in the area, even Bromley..

My husband and I used to live in France and we moved to London 3 years ago now, our twins are 8months and I feel a bit lonely sometimes
I've also tried a playgroup yesterday...too many people...not really the time to talk to so many mums as I had to keep an eye on the twins at the same time!
I live in Penge, it's 10min from Bromley by train :)

I'm nearish Orps. Never been on meet up threads before today and found your thread and another from someone else in my approx area . I have a dd who is 14 months so a bit older and more mobile .

I live 5 minutes outside of Orpington. I have a 15 month old and a 3 year old (both girls) All my friends tend to live towards Sevenoaks so happy to meet up for chat/coffee.
