ARE YOU COMING? [GRIN]

MrsBigD · 08/02/2006 17:23

oh come on ... you can have a medicinal glass can't you? unless of course there's a medical reason why not... and extra pounds don't count being t-total with having underage kids at home = impossible!

uwila · 08/02/2006 17:29

No excessive drinking for me either. Have to drive to Sunbury after the meet-up... and I'm afraid I'm fresh out of the brownies.

uwila · 08/02/2006 17:31

I think it's more that ars**oles at work than it is the kids at home that are responsible for my drinking. Oh, such a pity I have to drive...

Nanou1 · 08/02/2006 17:37

still at work... can't wait for that Gin and Tonic!!!!! see you shortly. shame some of us can't make it...

uwila · 08/02/2006 17:48

Yeah, too bad for them.

MrsBigD · 08/02/2006 17:57

I'm on a 1-2 glass limit myself... just can't handle my booze anymore ;)

MrsBigD · 09/02/2006 08:36

Lovely to meet you all..(and you again, mrs bd)

Will have to do another night out sometime - or when it's warmer maybe get the sprogs together.

uwila · 09/02/2006 10:57

Oh, that's a nice idea unicorn. It will have to be a weekend for my sprogs to make it, though.

MrsBigD · 09/02/2006 11:17

Defo a good idea.
As with Uwila would have to be a weekend though.
Nice picknick in a park somewhere maybe (once it's warmer of course)

uwila · 09/02/2006 14:21

Yeah, like August. BBBBRRRRRRRRRRR.... I'm so fed up with winter.... GO AWAY NOW.

What about soft play? Snakes and Ladders in Syon Park? Or a trip to the zoo (in August). Kew Bridge Steam Museum?

MrsBigD · 09/02/2006 14:34

trip to the zoo would be very popular with dd and ds Which one though? London Zoo? Extortionate prices. There is a small zoo in Battersea I think that's not quite as expensive.

Any others require for attendees to have a car I can recommend paradise wildlife park near Enfield... small zoo but huge playgrounds and free merry go rounds

OP posts:
uwila · 10/02/2006 09:13

The only one of those I've been to is London Zoo. But I'm always happy to save some money and go to a cheaper place. Car travel is no problem for us.

MrsBigD · 10/02/2006 13:55

Here's a few links

link{http://www.batterseaparkzoo.co.uk/
\Battersea Park Zoo} (central and public transport available)

link{http://www.zsl.org/whipsnade/whipsnade
\Whipsnade}

link{http://www.pwpark.com/\paradise wildlife park} (near Enfield)

link{http://www.sheprethwildlifepark.co.uk/\Shepreth Wildlife Park} (toward Cambridge so probably a bit far to go)

OP posts:
MrsBigD · 10/02/2006 13:57

argh can't get the links to work!

guess you'll just have to copy & past : minus the last word which would have been the description

OP posts:
uwila · 10/02/2006 14:09

You forgot the "" before "link". Silly girl.

MrsBigD · 10/02/2006 15:28

that would do it

OP posts:
Nanou1 · 10/02/2006 18:06

was nice to meet you too. a visit to a wildlife park is a great idea/ enfield sounds good. anyway, time to go home now. have a good weekend all.

trying2bgood · 12/02/2006 19:58

did u guys have a nice time? any gossip to share?

MrsBigD · 13/02/2006 06:44

yes we did have a good time gossip? Hmmmm...
well none of us are serial killers

OP posts:
uwila · 13/02/2006 11:09

Yes, had a nice time. I'm definitely interested in another one. And also meet-up with kiddies on the weekend. Shall we proceed with the zoo plan?

What about another evening meet in ealing... Say March? Can't do the 22nd as it is DD's birthday. But, I'd be good for just about any other night..... except the night MrsBigD is coming to to Sunbury for kiddies' single jabs. Speaking of which, MrsBigD, forgot when that is 06 March?????

MrsBigD · 13/02/2006 14:06

Zoo sounds like a plan... shall we make it a family outing special so the dads get to know each other as well? Also that way dh's can run after them and catch them in the zoo whilst we enjoy a chin wag

Yes it's the 6th March in Sunbury Uwila ... dd will be screaming blue murder all the way there I'm sure

OP posts:
uwila · 13/02/2006 14:24

Okay, if I say "So dear, would like to go to a mumsnet meet-up at the zoo with the kids and hang out with..." he will hear nothing after the dreaded word "mumsnet". I'm happy if other people's DH's want to come. But, wouldn't count on mine showing.

MrsBigD · 13/02/2006 15:23

well that's easy... don't mention mn LOL just say meeting up with some friends who have kids

OP posts:
uwila · 23/02/2006 15:48

So, when are we going out to play again? Whose in?
