New in Nuneaton - HELP!

Hi,

My friend has just moved to Nuneaton from Birmingham, she is not yet online so I am doing her dirty work for her . She is feeling a little gloomy as she desperately wants to make some new friends and friends for her two boys (aged 3 and nearly 1), but both times she went to local mother and toddler groups she was the only one there .

To help her to settle into the new area she could do with meeting up with some other local mums. Anyone out there interested? I will pass on any messages/contact details to her.

She is a lovely lovely lady and I wish I still lived round the corner from her, but sadly I've moved further away from her (spain!)

Any help would be appreciated.

where is nuneaton?

It's on the border of Warwickshire and Leicestershire - nobody near by???

Ah Nuneaton - happy days (not).

I worked there for about 15 months 10 years ago.

I don't live there anymore, I'm near Birmingham now, but I was brought up in Bedworth, just around the corner from Nuneaton. I worked in Nuneaton too for a while, LM - not high on my agenda of highlights in my life, it has to be said.

I'm sure there are some MNers who live locally, they just probably haven't seen this.

Well, I am sure there are some lovely people in Nuneaton but it is hard to imagine any of them knowing how to work a PC (Lonelymum scuttles off).

Doesn't look like there's many ?any people on here in Nuneaton. You might get more success posting this on www.netmums.com.

There are a couple of Rugby people here though. I used to live in Rugby when I was working in Nuneaton so I am sure Rugby people would know the Nuneaton location.

Yes sorry WWB, I was thinking about what I posted earlier and realise it was gratuitously offensive (but based on my experience of working there). Perhaps I should have explained that.

where abouts does your friend live? how old is she, her children etc?

i could do with getting out more and i have a 5mth old, so i have promised i will get out to a M&T group soon though i havent been to one since my dd1 (who is now 6) was little because i was quite scared by the other mums now im a bit older (24) i feel a bit more confident.
