How many of you are in East Surrey then?

I know a few are... Can I have a recap?

Also, can you give me some ideas of nice parks/walks/National Trust places in the area?

Thanks Dinny

Box Hill is national trust.
Not sure if that's east surrey though.

Mo2 · 11/12/2005 22:13

Top of Reigate Hill for NT coffee shack and start of Pilgrims Way
Down into Sussex for lots of NT places + similar (Nymans gardens, Sheffield park, etc)
Tulleys Farm
Over to Leatherhead for Bocketts Farm
Godstone Farm (of course)
Priory Farm shop (Nutfield) for nice food and coffee shop (other side of road) (play area in summer)
Polesdon Lacey past Dorking
Gatton Park (reigate) opens on first Sunday of the month (perhaps closed til spring now?)

Lockets - poor dd2. Thought she'd get a mild dose! Are dd1's gone yet?

Getting more and more used to life in t'country now Kids just love having a big house to run riot in. Takes hours to get dressed and up in the morning...

Mo2 's list is pretty comprehensive ! Outwood has a historic windmill (open occasionally I think) and walks on the common and nearby. Into Kent there is Chartwell not very far away and few other NT type places a little to the south are Sheffield Park Gardens (close to Wakehurst Place and there is the Bluebell Railway nearby), Standen near East Grinstead and a little further afield the Ashdown Forest and Pooh Bridge near Hartfield. In Crawley there is Tilgate Park which has animals, a lake and play area.

hth
