Hi Izzirubi,

I am in Farnborough! Apparently there are 2 Farnboroughs though so will you be in he one in Hampshire? That's where I am, in North Camp to be precise.

I used to live in London too but we moved to Fbro last May. I like living here because life is much quieter than in London, especially good when you have small kids.

I have a 17 month-old boy and am currently 35 weeks pg so will have a new bub in January. I work in London but tomotrrow is my last day before I start my mat leave so will have plenty of time for meet-ups.

Hi Izzirubi, I thought maybe you had changed your mind about moving to Farnborough It's an okay place, really.

I will email you about meeting up later. I am due next week so right now is not the ideal time to be making plans - too many trips to the loo destroy any plans that take longer than 10 mins - ha ha.

Luckylady, it would be nice to see you as well of course. one of the ladies in my due inJan thread lives in Aldershot too so it's finally looking like I'm not the only one in the area after all.

Hi Chattyhan,

It's been a while since you posted but you never know, you may have put a watch on this thread. I'm still in farnborough, still keen to meet new people so let me know what is a good time for you. I can do Mon-Thurs with the baby and Fri with baby plus toddler.

Izzirubu, in case you read this - i have sent you a few emails but am not sure you got them. If you read this and are still interested in meeting up, let me know.

Yes Eshay you were right i have put a watch on this thread. I have recently moved to Church Crookham so still in the area. My boy is now 19m. I'm always up for a meet up so if you want to do a fri sometime with the two or i assume with the hols coming up it could be any day? I'm busy wed and thurs but that's it.

Eshay · 14/07/2006 19:16

Yes, let's do a Friday. (DS1 goes to nursery so they don't follow school holidays. They only close for 1 week over Christmas.) We're free quite a few Fridays: 28 July and then all Fridays in August. So take your pick. Any nice playgrounds or Parks in your area? There is a nice new playground in Farnborough if you can drive. Mornings always work best for me, between 10.30 and 12 is ideal for both boys' naps, but we can be flexible. What about you?

Chattyhan · 17/07/2006 15:07

We are away the 28th but free all of August. How does fri 4th work for you? I live on the Zebon Copse estate in Church Crookham and we do have a playground at the community centre with a large grass area. There are 2 play areas one for older kids and one for the little ones. I do drive and i'm quite happy to come to you if that works best. 10.30 til 12 sounds fine.

Eshay · 24/07/2006 15:45

Hi Chattyhan,

Fri 4 works fine for us. We'll come your way as I love finding out about new play areas. Shall we meet at that playground by your community centre? That way we do't have to share personal details online. I'll aim for 10.30.

What to look for: I am 5'10", brown, shoulder length hair, will be babbling to boys in Dutch. Two boys: Thomas aged 2 and baby Alex aged 6 months. Alex is easy to recognise because he has scars on his face from when he had chickenpox. Any particulars that make you easy to spot?

Eshay · 24/07/2006 15:48

Hi again,
I'm not entirely sure where your community centre is. Is this the address or is this a different one?

Velmead Community Centre
Danvers Drive
Zebon Copse
Fleet
Hants
GU52 0YN

Eshay · 01/08/2006 12:05

Me again, a week or so later. Can we make it another week? Something else has come up this Friday and since you haven't confirmed yet I was hoping we could make it the 25th instead. How does that work for you?

Chattyhan · 02/08/2006 13:28

sorry Eshay, just got back from holiday! 25th is great. The address you've got is right. If you find Zebon Copse then there are signposts directing you through the maze to the community centre! Shall we plan for 10.30?

Eshay · 02/08/2006 16:57

Back from holiday, that sounds nice. Hope you hada good time. We have to wait till the end of October for ours so that's quite a while yet. OK, let's do Fri 25 at 10.30. Shall we confirm our plans in that same week?

Chattyhan · 10/08/2006 13:01

It seems as if our meet is doomed to failure. I have a doctors appointment on fri 25th at 11.10am that i can't change. Is there any way we can meet earlier or in the afternoon instead?

Eshay · 13/08/2006 19:31

How about 9.45? The wee one can sleep in the car on the way there.

If the weather is anything like today though, we won't be able to leave the house as i don't have any life jackets. What a down pour! And someone told me August was supposed to be hotter than July!

Chattyhan · 16/08/2006 09:18

9.45 is brill. Thanks for being so accomodating. If the weather's ok we can do the community centre park near me. If not i'm happy for you to come to mine for a cuppa if you like?

Eshay · 21/08/2006 10:38

OK, 9.45 it is. If it's raining we'd love to come in for a cuppa. What do you look like?

I am 5'10", brown, shoulder length hair, will be babbling to boys in Dutch. Will wear bright orange jacket. Two boys: Thomas aged 2 and baby Alex aged 7 months.

Eshay · 25/08/2006 12:48

Hey Chattyhan,

Everything all right? I was at the Velmead Comm Centre Playground(s) from 9.45 until 10.20 but I did not see you. I did see one blue car drive away but that probably wasn't you since no one got out. And there was a lady with 4 boys, all bigger than yours so that wasn't you either. we still had fun at the playground and had a look at the horses although they were a bit shy. I hope all is okay with you.

Chattyhan · 07/09/2006 11:03

I'm so sorry i've got no excuse other than i completely forgot. i've been using another mums site where all correspondance gets delivered to personal email and forgot all about this one! Can you email me at [email protected] to avoid this happening again. I'm so sorry i messed you around and would completely understand if you don't want to meet up. I'm pleased you like the park and if you're happy to propose another date i can do tomorrow - very short notice i know you probably won't read this in time but then we are away for 2 - 3 weeks.
