Ok ladies - taken a while for me to start the thread, but here's the place for us Herts + nearby ladies to organise a meetup for December.

I guess the two big decisions to make are date and place. Shall we start with date? Would people prefer a weekday evening or a weekend? I'll suggest some of each, and if everyone can chip in with which of these they would/wouldn't be able to make, then hopefully we can fix it up quite soon.

Saturday 10th December
Monday 12th December
Thursday 15th December
Friday 16th December
Saturday 17th December
Monday 19th December
Thursday 22nd December

Over to you all.....

morning - I could do any of those dates except 10th or 22nd

ixel · 04/12/2005 20:20

Hello! Depending where and when it ends up being, I could feasibly come to this one!! Dh can babysit on the 12th or 15th, so he'd be home from work about 6pm. The rest of the dates, he's working! I dont have a car though, so will only come if its close by, as my lazy pregnant state cant stand the thought of late night public transport But dont worry about arranging things to include me if its easier not to!

Just a quick at you all

Jasnem · 05/12/2005 11:58

Tabs - I dohave acces to DPs car in the evening, so you wouldn't have to come to me necessarily.

There is a new Indian in WA that I've been recommended recently, but not much else. Is Broxbourne any better?

Ixel - If you got a train to waltham Cross, I could pick you up, if you couldn't get alift all the way out here.

We need to do something ssonish if it's going to happen - the 12th is next week!!

FlameRobin · 05/12/2005 12:02

Meet ups and poppadums???

Tabs · 05/12/2005 12:47

Not a lot in the way of dining in Broxbourne. I'm happy with Indian, or if you are mobile then we could go to Barnet as there are plenty of eateries there, and it would solve Ixel's travel problems.

Barnet's fine with me.

ixel · 05/12/2005 18:01

Barnet would be best for me, as I'm sooo lazy Barnet is also the end of my world; no concept of whats beyond, except when i get a lift to Broxbourne to Paradise! But if the majority would find it easier to go elsewhere, then please dont mind me!

Tabs · 05/12/2005 18:58

Sounds like Barnet's a winner then .
Ixel, as a local lass can you suggest where to eat? Gritz is the only place I've been to personally - is that the best option or are there others that you would recommend?

OP posts:
Jasnem · 05/12/2005 19:23

Somewhere easy to find, please.

Oh and somewhere to park. I'm not good at these things!

ixel · 06/12/2005 20:05

I've never eaten out in Barnet! I've had less than half a dozen nights out since ds was born, but none of them have been that way! I can try and have a look round this week though, and see what looks good. There is a car park, not sure what time it closes if it does, but I'm sure there'd be side street parking somewhere to save charges!

Tabs · 09/12/2005 08:01

Any joy finding somewhere to eat yet Ixel, or shall I just book Gritz for ease?

Jasnem - I went to another MN meet up at Gritz earlier this year, and there was on street parking around during the evening, so shouldn't be a problem. I wouldn't have a clue where to park either if there wasn't!

Any thing happening here?

ixel · 09/12/2005 21:04

Nothing looked very inspiring when I looked round on Wednesday, so maybe Grittz is safest as I've heard a few good recommendations for it. Are we doing the 12th or 15th then? I could get up to Barnet for half six or seven both nights, as dh is on early shifts so can in theory get home by six.
You'll have to book it under a name we'll know... i dont want to walk in and embarrass my self by not knowing who I should be asking for/sitting with!!!

Tabs · 09/12/2005 21:51

We're doing 12th. I'll book table at Grittz in name 'Tabs'. Jasnem - does 7 o clock suit you?

OP posts:
Jasnem · 10/12/2005 12:38

7 o'clock sounds good to me. Is it easy to find - I've got an A-Z somewhere. The last time I was in Barnet, it was at the old psych hospital, which has been closed down for years!

Jasnem · 10/12/2005 14:44

I've found it !I think even I can find that.

ixel · 10/12/2005 18:31

Ok, I'll be there. Looking forward to it!!

Tabs · 11/12/2005 19:13

Fab - all booked. See you both tomorrow.
