I'm in North Wilts (north of Marlborough, south of M4). Codswallop is in Salisbury...

Oooh, dh wants to move to Salisbury ( currently in Trowbridge, west wilts). Is it a nice place?

We're a bit further to the west but DP hails from Salisbury, so we head back there for a weekend about once a month. Don't let DP know (we have a bit of hometown rivalry going on) but I love Salisbury - so many fantastic shops... whats that chocolate shop that has a cafe in the back of it? Snells? He took me there after meeting me from the train the first time that I went to visit...

My mum works one day a week as a volunteer in the Devizes Tourist Office (yes they have one, why?)

Thanks for the tips on salisbury, Codswallop, I grew up in Bournemouth, so really miss the beach. My sister still lives there, so we do visit a lot. Part of the reason we always consider moving is that most of my immediate family live around the Dorset area.

I live in Landford which is on the A36 southampton - salisbury road, just inside the Wiltshire border and about 10 miles from Salisbury town centre.
