Everyone else vote as well - I didn't even know about it until BIWI said (somehow I never 'see' the stickied threads)

Alouiseg · 12/04/2011 17:45

I actually bought half an outfit today, that I shall probably debut at the smu :) v.v.v. Excited too.

RedHeels · 12/04/2011 18:40

Hi. just found this thread Smile. What time is the meet up?

RedHeels · 12/04/2011 18:42

Or is it an exclusive kind of thing for those in the know?

methodsandmaterials · 12/04/2011 18:50

Completely inclusive red. You'd be very welcome.
From half-7, 21/5/11 in Clerkenwell, London EC1. I think the OP has more info.
Come!

NotShortImHotCrossBunSized · 12/04/2011 20:29

BIWI you do have a fab name but I want the choc

I shall vote for you anyway, if you give me a square Wink

Still none the wiser to what the hell I will be wearing, I am driving dp bonkers going on about it. But he is off collecting a chop saw that he just bought from Ebay for £400 so methinks that means I am entitled to a whole new outfit. Obviously including shoes, bag, jewellery and anything else I fancy whilst on my spree Grin

Any helpful suggestions will be gratefully accepted!

thefirstMrsDeVere · 12/04/2011 20:54

Alouise are you going to wear half an outfit Shock

I may Blush

Grin

red anyone can come - I prove that. Grin

Alouiseg · 12/04/2011 21:03

Yes MrsDeVere, definitely one half, but hopefully an accompanying half to go with it. Otherwise some extremely high wedges and a multicoloured Vajazzle will suffice Grin

thefirstMrsDeVere · 12/04/2011 21:29

I think I have just found my 'look'
Thanks everso Alouise

mrsdevere - you should be true to your name and come in a towel Grin

By when do I need to confirm?

methodsandmaterials · 12/04/2011 23:14

I think you should confirm right now red.
Wink

RedHeels · 12/04/2011 23:34

I just re-read the thread. I know when I need to confirm. Blush

RedHeels · 12/04/2011 23:40

Yes, sure, I'm coming regardless whether I find someone to watch over DD. I will just tell her to fetch herself a bottle with rusks in it, some sausage rolls and a fruit shoot for dessert. Now she can almost sit up I'm sure she'll be fine propped against the sofa Grin.

Hopefully someone will have her for the evening, I'm on it as from tomorrow!

RedHeels · 12/04/2011 23:41

(...) whether I find someone to watch over DD or not.

methodsandmaterials · 12/04/2011 23:45

That's the spirit red, it'll be character building.
Grin
Glad you're thinking of making it. We don't have a deadline as such but we'll need final numbers a few days before the party.
Hope that gives you time to find a babysitter!

Shodan · 12/04/2011 23:56

Feckit.

I have been cudgelling my poor brain for minutes weeks trying to think what to wear. My 'comfy' list includes: grey white dressing gown; pyjamas; gi; trackie bottoms. None of these, I think are suitable attire for such an illustrious event.

My mother suggested 'something with a flippy hem. Or add a jaunty scarf to your outfit.' For some reason neither of these options appeal. DH says I'll look beautiful whatever I wear (yes, yes awwww etc but no bloody help).

Jeans it is then.

Shodan · 12/04/2011 23:58

Oh.

Just seen BIWI's Easter name. Am definitely going to vote for that. Most fabulous.

If I can find the thread.

BecauseImWoeufIt · 13/04/2011 08:55

Thank you!

I have nothing to wear. Or rather, I have a whole wardrobe of things I could wear if I was a stone lighter.

Sadly there are no funds to buy anything new, so I'm going for the comfy look too.

If only just adding a jaunty scarf would work!

Grin BIWI, same here, loads of dresses but not of the fitting kind.

I'll wear jeans, will invest in a new nice going out top, wear fabulous high heels for 1.5 hours and then slip into flat pumps which just happened to be in my handbag.

Jeans are a better choice for the attendee planning to get a bit tipsy, no danger of a skirt in underpants scenario Smile

btw - I'm notinmypocket/nimp in Easter disguise)

GetOrfMoiLand · 13/04/2011 09:50

lol at 'jaunty scarf'

For inspiration look at the piss taking thread of Per Una clothing in the style and beauty thread.

I am wearing black accented with touches of black
