ChaosTrulyReigns · 02/05/2011 23:38

methodsandmaterials · 02/05/2011 23:44

I'll get back to you re. Pimms

ChaosTrulyReigns · 02/05/2011 23:46

Thanks.

I'm actually teasing, I could drink fermented melons if I had to.

nickelbabe · 03/05/2011 10:30

how does one "drim" fingers?

methodsandmaterials · 03/05/2011 12:50

Yo chaos, they got Pimms.
Grin

CointreauVersial · 03/05/2011 13:03

Ooh, I love a bit of Pimms. Tastes like fruit squash, so you quaff it by the pint, lulled into a false sense of security by the innocent fruity bits floating in it, until suddenly......bam!

I shall be dancing on the tables by 8.30pm with any luck.

nickelbabe · 03/05/2011 13:40

pimm's.

you alkies should be sectioned.
:(

FellatioNels0n · 03/05/2011 13:44

Oi, Chaos, why haven't you gone on my loo/phone thread? Angry Days and days I've been waiting. I've had all sorts of traumas, and where are you eh? Talking about Pimms. Huh. Hmm

NotShortImFunSized · 03/05/2011 13:55

The canapes sound gorgeous, well done Methods Grin

That kebab pizza looks mingtastic, must remember to get some for when visitors turn up unannounced and I want them to leave

Still no idea how I'm getting there but I'll get there via Redbull wings if I have to. Have talked conned dp into picking me up after which means I don't have to worry about making a total tit of myself on public transport when I am slightly merry Grin

bigTillyMint · 03/05/2011 15:50

Canapes sound yum - make me step away from them, or there will be none left for anyone elseBlush

Result NotShort - you have a very accommodating DH. I haven't even told mine I'm going yetBlush

Paschaelina · 03/05/2011 19:38

Envy at the lovely canapes on offer. I definitely will not be able to come in spite of all the encouragement from you a few days ago. RL has, unfortunately, reared its painful head and is going to cost me my train fare.

I hope you all have a very lovely time.

Paschaelina · 03/05/2011 19:39

I will be buying kebab pizza specially to consume on my sofa on the night.

methodsandmaterials · 03/05/2011 20:06

OK. Given that the tubes are a bit crap that weekend, I've come up with some alternatives for y'all.

From Liverpool Street
Take the No.8 bus towards Oxford Circus (bus stop on Bishopsgate).
Get off at the Holborn Circus / Fetter Lane.
Cross the road (High Holborn) so you're now on the same side of the road as WHSmiths.
To the left of WHSmiths, you have Leather Lane. Walk all the way down it to the very end where it hits Clerkenwell ROad.
The Clerk & Well is opposite you, slightly to the left.

From King's Cross / St Pancras
Take the No. 63 bus towards Honour Oak (bus stop on Euston Road directly in front of King's Cross Station)
Get off at Clerkenwell Road.
Cross Farringdon Road so that you are on the same side of the road as Yo Sushi.
Walk down Clerkenwell Road.
The Clerk & Well is about 2 minutes on your right.

or

Take the No. 45 or the No. 46 bus towards Steatham / Stonecutter Street respectively (bus stop on Euston Road directly in front of King's Cross Station)
Get off at the Rosebery Avenue.
Walk up and take the first left (at the cornershop) so you're now on Clerkenwell Road.
Walk straight up Clerkenwell Road. The road forks off to the left (Rosebery Avenue), don't go down there.
The Clerk & Well is about two minutes on your left.

Will post Euston and Waterloo later.
HTH

Thanks Ye Wise Woman, Methods Grin

Just looked and I'll be getting to London Bridge at 18.49 then onto either Kings Cross or Liverpool Street, both take same time so whichever I stumble onto first! Anyone going to be at London Bridge about that time?

methodsandmaterials · 03/05/2011 21:19

From London Bridge
Take the No.17 bus towards Archway (bus stop on London Bridge Street or on London Bridge itself)
Get off at Rosebery Avenue (might also be called Theobald's Road)
Walk up, cross Theobald's Road (so you're in front of The Yorkshire Grey pub)and tthen cross Gray's Inn Road so you're at the cornershop.
You should now be on Clerkenwell Road.
Walk straight up Clerkenwell Road. The road forks off to the left (Rosebery Avenue), don't go down there.
The Clerk & Well is about two minutes on your left.

From Euston
Take the 73/10/390/205/30 all towards King's Cross.
Get off at King's Cross and then follow directions above.
(if you take the 10 or the 390, the bus will stop on York Way in which case you'll have to go back on yourself to get back to the bus stops in front of the station)

From Waterloo
Take the No. 243 or No. 341 bus towards Wood Green and Northumberland Park respectively.
Get off at Theobald's Road / Clerkenwell Road (might also be called Rosebery Avenue)
Walk up, cross Theobald's Road (so you're in front of The Yorkshire Grey pub) and then cross Gray's Inn Road so you're at the cornershop.
then cross Gray's Inn Road so you're at the cornershop.
Walk straight up Clerkenwell Road. The road forks off to the left (Rosebery Avenue), don't go down there.
The Clerk & Well is about two minutes on your left.
