I will admit to being in Mill Hill if no one reveals my name! But I can only do things at weekends, mostly and the gender and age isn't quite right...dd1 age 5 and dd2 age 2.5. They like nature and swings (which I like to be free of charge!), that sort of thing.

majorstress · 06/09/2005 11:30

kites are the big passion right now, anywhere good in Barnet to fly them?

vickitiredmum · 06/09/2005 11:34

Underhill Park (i think its called) round the back of where Barnet football club is. Hi Beth, Hi Michelle.

majorstress · 06/09/2005 11:42

is that park got high ground, or is it big without too many trees? what else is there, please?

vickitiredmum · 06/09/2005 12:19

Big without many trees. There are loads open spaces in Barnet/Totteridge. You got the parks and open spaces the Dollis brook (i think its called) runs through. Access to one is off totteridge lane - if you go off to the Barnet side it takes you all the way through to Barnet - you go the left hand side the path and parks take you all the way to Hampstead Heath eventually.

majorstress · 06/09/2005 12:53

ok vtm, sounds cool, how about a guided walk for E/B/S mummies/daddies and kiddies? I'm just (sort of) kidding. We try to explore but dd2 is too heavy for backpack now-is it buggy friendly?

Kayleigh · 06/09/2005 12:57

i live right next to that park! Yes it is very buggy friendly. Plenty of paths. In fact one was resurfaced about 7 years ago right after my mum complained to the council. She used to walk ds1 round there in his pram and one path was so bumpy she was worried it was going to wake him.

You don't want to mess with my mum

majorstress · 06/09/2005 12:58

maybe she should lead the guided tour?

Kayleigh · 06/09/2005 13:00

I could point out all my neighbours houses. That any good to you ?!

honeypot01 · 06/09/2005 13:39

hi Vicki, major stress and kayleigh!

OP posts:
vickitiredmum · 06/09/2005 13:55

Yeah mostly buggy friendly (except the bit that cuts through past Finchley Catholic playing fields. I used to live next to it when I lived in Woodside Park. Which bit do you live by Kayleigh?

Majorstress - the softplay parks that honeypot01 and laydm gave me my first introduction to suit those ages fine.

honeypot01 · 06/09/2005 14:52

Having a "quiet" day at home. My two are a bit poorly.

Trips to docs yesterday to get conjuctivitis medicine and to see about DSs cough (apparetnly coughs, sore throats etc are all part of the conjuctivitis thing???? So the doc said anyway.) DD has had a 3 hour nap today and still wants to sleep.

Still, glad its all out the way before we go on hols this weekend.

vickitiredmum · 06/09/2005 15:43

vickitiredmum · 06/09/2005 18:03

Going to Exmouth for a weeks caravan holiday. Its our first "family" holiday - just the four of us.

Im really looking forward to it. Im just trying to think about what im going to need to take for DS from a practical point of view and whether to take any toys or such like for DD as there is supposed to be loads of entertainment there.

Looking at the weather i dont think buckets and spades are going to be required.......

Which Butlins is it you are going to?

honeypot01 · 06/09/2005 21:59

that should b nice vicki, wouldnt take too many toys, jus a handful, we're going to butlins in somerset, should b fun
