just wondered if there are any of you in my area (wilts) who meet up for coffee etc- any special needs - but aspergers/autism/ADHD prefered as i have 1 diagnosed and possibly 2 who i feel will be ! I also suffer from depression and would love to see my children mix with others who find this world a confusing place.

Post to the special needs conversation, you're bound to get a response there. Have you tried contacting local NAS branch? Ours often has coffee mornings, activities with our ASD kids etc.

Thanx- will try that ! My son was only diagnosed in may- and i was horrified that the soonest the local health authority can get us into the support group they run is next summer! (and it's only a programme of weekly sessions....which only last for so long!)

mrs forgetful- if you have no luck with the NAS (they're non-existent in our area) you could always do what I did- and organise a coffee morning. I spoke to the local papers, had a little article in the paper and ended up with 30 people in my house

BTW- I do think finding someone else in the same situation is pretty essential- there are a lot out there- good luck!
