We're selling up, I'm going to give up my job and we're planning to move to the coast. Everyone that I've spoken to so far has told us to head to Broadstairs so we've spent two delightful and long weekends in Broadstairs and yes it gorgeous. But we haven't found a house there that we can both agree on. The estate agent persuaded us to look at one in Minnis Bay, Birchington yesterday and both of us felt like we'd arrived home it was so gorgeous. But I know nothing about Birchington or Minnis Bay. A quick "peer" round didn't help but I suspect doing it in the pouring rain isn't going to make someone immediately fall in love with most places. What I'm looking for is a family community. I'm about to give up work and its scarey. I'm desperate to know that there will be other mums out there that i can meet up with, clubs for toddlers, baby clubs(we're considering our 3rd), holiday activities, after school clubs - you know the normal life. I popped into the local library and most of the notice board was filled with old people meetings like; "Self help arthritus club" or the "hearing aid aid meeting". "Are your dhalias growing well?". The question is: Is Minnis Bay just a retirement place
