Hi there,

We've received the following media request.

Thanks,
MNHQ

Are you building an emergency food stockpile following the government’s Be Ready campaign? If you're wondering what to buy, how much to store, and how to prepare sensibly, we'd love to hear from you.

I make The Food Chain for BBC World Service radio. We’re researching an episode about emergency food preparedness and are looking for people who have recently started stocking up.

We’d chat about your experience and connect you with experts.

No

I don’t trust the BBC not to twist the most benign facts offered by mumsnetters into something that will serve their own biased agenda.
So no.

Nope.

I will. I think it's an interesting topic.

No I haven't. I don't really know how a person could not already have far more than 3 days worth of food in their house, but maybe that's just because I have a Costco membership. I think at this moment I could very easily go a month without shopping, and while my meals might be a little odd, they would be reasonably nutritionally balanced. If I was unable to cook in any way I think I could last more than a week at least, though that would be significantly less pleasant.
