I'm speaking to women over 50 across the UK for The i Paper about how extremely tough the job market is at the moment, and am speaking to recruiters, too. I wondered if anyone - anonymously, of course - would be kind enough to tell me a bit about what it's like to be applying for all these jobs? What effect does it have on confidence? How many radio silences have you had? How does it compare to applying for jobs in the past?
I've done lots around neets, but feel that experienced workers need more focus, too, as The Centre for Ageing Better has highlighted this issue in their latest research.
Whether it was a period of unemployment which has now been resolved, or it's ongoing, I'd love to hear from the community.
