Media request from Will Stoddart, Daily Mail Good Health:

Daily Mail Good Health is looking to speak to a parent whose child
became ill after using a public paddling pool, splash pad/splash park,
outdoor swimming pool or water park in the UK.

The illness could have involved diarrhoea, vomiting, stomach cramps or
fever, and may have been diagnosed as Cryptosporidium, Giardia or
another gastrointestinal infection, although a confirmed diagnosis is
not essential.

This is for a piece investigating the safety of public water-play
facilities. Anyone interested can contact me privately first and there
is absolutely no obligation to take part just by getting in touch.

how could anyone be certain it was the public pool that caused any illness?
