I would like to retrain as a secondary school teacher of English and go on an iQTS and iPGCE course.
I don't live in the UK. I live in the EU. I can't leave my country of residence for at least two more years.
I am British, English literature graduate, MSc in marketing.
I don't currently work in a school and I need to be working in a school to get onto this course and quality as a teacher.
How would you recommend I go about getting a place teaching in a school as a trainee - would have to be an international school - without qualifications?
I'd really like some advice on how to sell myself, with all the pros of having an extra pair of hands.
I'm not sure it's very desirable for schools to have trainees as it could be a drain on their existing teachers' time and energies.
Any help and insights or advice would be really appreciated.
