If you could study/retrain in anything, what would you choose?

Hi. I am struggling at the moment. I am an expat, not in the UK and I haven't had a full time job here since 2014. I can't speak or write the language well enough to get a job in what I currently do (graphic design) so I'm looking to retrain in...something, anything! Preferably something I can do online and in English... Learning the language well enough to work in it is not an option (please don't suggest it, it's not going to happen).

I've been looking at doing online learning but I don't actually have a clue of what would be the best thing to do in terms of what companies are looking for these days. I do already have a degree but it's not relevant to anything and is from 20 years ago.

Any ideas??

I'd probably try and work remotely in English. I'm sure you could do freelance graphic design remotely. Have you looked at eLance?

I have tried to find online graphic design work but struggle with feeling like I'm not good enough. Haven't heard of eLance actually, will take a look.

I am rubbish at maths, I'm guessing that would be critical? 😬

I don't think you need to be Girl Wonder at maths.

They have a trial session in their website. Take a look.
