I’ve recently decided to go to university to follow my life long ambition and career. I have applied to, and been accepted by, two universities. As I never went to university in my earlier life I know that I will be eligible for student finance for fees in the usual way however I need advice on childcare grants/ maintenance grants which might be available.

is there anyone I can contact to talk through how to arrange our finances and the help that might be available? All can find online is a lot of information but none of it helps in our specific situation.

I don’t have an answer but I’d have thought the best places to ask would be the universities who have accepted your application?

And / or the relevant professional bodies if you’re studying for a vocational degree.

Also, @Happycroc, if you outline your specific situation on this thread it’s quite likely someone else will have dealt with the same issue.

Your uni will have a money advice team/funding team who can advise you on this. You should be able to find their details on your uni website and it will say how you can contact them.
