I'm due to graduate from the OU next summer with a BSc in Health Sciences. My original aim was to work in the health science sector or to go on to do some sort of clinical training, but over the past couple of years I've been really put off working for the NHS. I don't think I'm cut out for the stress levels and competitiveness of the STP, likewise R&D grad schemes.
I originally wanted to do a Natural Sciences BSc but had a last minute panic and switched to health. My interest in natural sciences, particularly environmental sciences has never left me and I keep finding myself coming back to environmental job searches. I love working outdoors.
My question is, how can I worm my way into the environmental sector? Are there any roles I could work towards where my health science skills would be transferrable? Would I fall down and die at the first hurdle of an environmental science/management MSc?
I've looked into environmental health but it doesn't really appeal. Any advice greatly appreciated.
