Does it matter where you graduated from in healthcare?

Please can anybody advise: I've just finished my Access course, and have an offer from my closest university for an Allied Health degree. I'm also having a massive wobble: my nearest university is not ranked very high and the online student satisfaction surveys ... could also be better.
I'm quite mature with two secondary aged kids and this seemed like the most practical choice. I also preferred the tutors who interviewed me to my second choice uni, which is further away but is more renowned and better equipped for this course.
Coming up to clearing I'm now losing my confidence in having made the right decision and worry I'll have a degree potentially not favoured in the nhs and will struggle to find work in a few years time.

I'd appreciate any advice.

No. Nobody cares. A lot of people work near where they trained so will be in the same situation as you.

I agree - nobody cares!

This ^^
Especially if it is accredited by a professional body.

Thank you all so much! I'll stop worrying over this. Grin

Yup. Nobody cares. Make sure course is accredited etc. And the HCPC approves it or whomever will do your registration after

I doubt anyone cares with regard to health professions - but I’d want to look into the reasons for the low student satisfaction ratings. Is it poor teaching? Lack of pastoral support? Or too few clubs with cheap entry prices?

Are the things those students complain of relevant to you, personally?
