Mushroom, ham and cream cheese sauce over cabbage
Dice up mushrooms (half a punnet) and half an onion. Fry in a small saucepan.
Dice ham, add whole pack of cream cheese to saucepan and add 3 tbs double cream. Mix until creamy liquid. Add ham. Leave on a low temp occasionally stirring.
Vhop up your desired amount of cabbage and boil.
Makes for a very tasty low carb dinner

Incredibly high in fat (and “bad” fat) and ham is processed meat which is linked to increased cancer risk. You’d be much better eating normally. Ie a handful of nuts or humous and crudities if you want to low carb. These are high in good fats and protein.

Sure, saturated fat from cream cheese, but I don't have this on a daily basis, maybe once a fortnight. It makes for a flavoursome, hot meal, comforting and filling in winter.
It's just an idea for livening up a bowl of cabbage, a handful of nuts doesn't really do it for me at dinner time.
