Hi,
I'm starting keto in the new year.
Would love some tips if poss please.
I have done some research but unsure of a few things like, spreadable butter for example is that ok on keto? Also not sure on the best sweetener for coffee? What are the main things I need to look out for on ingredients? How many carbs am I allowed each day?

Under 20g of carb
you should aim for real fats so use real butter, get a butter dish and it will be spreadable most of the time unless it’s very cold.

diet doctor is really good to guide you when you’re starting out.

you probs won’t want sweetener in your coffee after a while. Once you’re over the hump sweet things start to taste REALLY sweet and are a bit unpleasant.

Get The Fast 800 Keto book by Michael Moseley it really simplifies everything. With suggested daily recipes and very inspiring pictures I am no longer Keto but use the book for food suggestions.

Diet Doctor, or Dr Eric Westman on YouTube if you need inspiration. Dr Westman also has free keto food checklists and things like that if you like to follow written instructions.
If you are UK based also take a look at the Puböic Health Collaboration website or youtube channel, they are a UK based charity with the aim of saving the NHS via lifestyle interventions, of which a low carb diet is one.
Good luck!

How are getting on?
I took a 2 week break from keto for Christmas and back on it now. Just reached ketosis so off to a good start.

It's Going really good thank you... Spending a fortune on keto bread tho... I'm a sucker for toast in the morning... And I sometimes struggle for lunch while working full-time.. so needed the keto bread. Hoping to lose a stone and half..
I really miss my glass of wine on a Saturday night.. that was my favourite.
