Feeling wired

I have been eating lower carb for a few weeks, and in the past week have intentionally upped fat and cut back carbs further to do keto.

The past two days I have felt very 'wired'. A bit like too much coffee but I've actually had less than usual. I have also found I've slept worse and last night found it hard to fall asleep even though I was absolutely exhausted from lots of physical activity during the day.

Has anyone else had this on keto?

Not exactly but I feel like I have extra energy when I'm in ketosis and can be a bit restless on occasion at night. You can test using ketostix, I keep a handy supply just so I know. Things generally settle down after a fortnight for me - only when I up my carbs too much do I feel any ill effects!

I have this and really struggle with insomnia on keto. It's an odd feeling as my body is tired but my brain just won't switch off, it isn't buzzing about like when I'm anxious but just doesn't give in to sleep.
I tried inulin before bedtime as that is supposed to help but it just gave me terrible wind!
