I've got the book from. Amazon (£6 atm)

Will do a shop Monday morning.

Am planning on OMAD, 800cal. Keto.

With lots of water and am giving up Pepsi max (which will be extremely hard as I'm addicted)

Have tried searching high protein low carb instant noodles on Amazon but the results contain so many sponsored posts I can't work out if there's anything like what I'm looking for!

The only low carb noodles will be those made with konjac and my personal choice would be to do without.

You could always make those courgette ones or similar.

If I make a stir-fry, I just have mainly veg and protein and just have a very small portion of wholewheat noodles or brown rice noodles.

Tesco used to sell some noodles made with fish protein, they were called Oomi noodles and they weren’t konjac

@CompluterSaysNo if you're looking for something with literally no prep my go to is eggs or full fat cottage cheese . Tinned mackerel in tomatoe sauce or prawns are are slo high protein and off the shelf .

Hi,

Can I join? I started 2 weeks ago today and have lost 9lbs. 19 left to go.

RadDarwazeh · 10/06/2024 17:24

Hi everyone, I would also love to join

Been doing keto for a week and lost 2.5 kilos in week one. Hurray!

I don't do the calorie 800 limit but usually have

Breakfast - eggs and/or bacon
Lunch - omelette with deli meats or a couple of pepperami sticks and babybel
Dinner - steak/chicken/sausages with vegetables and/or salad
Snacks - a few strawberries or blueberries

Not limiting the calories is helping but I've also cut evening snacking and booze

Good luck everyone, would love to keep up with everyone's progress

I’ve had a pretty good day today. I’ll be ending up on 1054 cals and 34g carbs. My food today:
Greek yoghurt with stewed rhubarb (1tsp sweetener because it was so sour it took the enamel off my teeth 🤣)
salad leaves, roast beef in light sweet chilli sauce, cherry tomatoes and Caesar dressing
pear
1 burger in a stack with smoked cheese and salami slices, with salad
few strawberries and raspberries

Today is day 3 for me.
Managed Monday and Tuesday at 800 calories per day and haven't felt hungry at all.
Feeling very exhausted and nauseous this afternoon though, so I've just had a cup of Bovril.
I weighed in at 15 stone 5lbs on Monday and plan to weigh in every Monday morning.
Aiming for doing the full 12 weeks at 800/1000 calories per day.

Anyone have any tips for when they are on holiday?
I really want to stick to it as much as possible.

RadDarwazeh · 26/06/2024 21:29

@FartingAgainstThunder I'm going on holiday in summer and I figure I'll stick to eggs and meat for breakfast and grilled meats and salads for main meals. Drink diet sodas.

I read the first ten days are the hardest, I'm on week 4 at the moment and it definitely gets easier. I even dabbled in baking almond flour blueberry cupcakes for a treat! And they're delicious!

FartingAgainstThunder · 09/07/2024 16:09

I'm down 12lbs in the last 15 days.
I don't feel hungry.
This is a revelation.

RadDarwazeh · 09/07/2024 20:59

Wow that's amazing, @FartingAgainstThunder well done! I am 11lb down in four weeks which I'm happy with but it's definitely slowing down last week. I usually weigh in Fridays so I'll keep you updated

FartingAgainstThunder · 09/07/2024 21:05

@RadDarwazeh please do.
I reckon I'll taper off to one or two pounds a week now but I will still be happy with that.
I've got 2 stone 7lbs left to lose so that would be somewhere between 18 and 35 ish weeks, That'll do for me.
I'd rather the 18 weeks right enough 😁

Is anyone still around on this thread? If so I'd love to jump in please. I've around 2st to loose, in midst of menopause (50 years old) weight has shot up in last few years since I last gave up the blood sugar diet. I reckon 800 cals maybe too low, I think I'd end up giving up at 7pm every night and eating crisps. Which I must avoid! But 1000 cals, low carb- ish, exercise a few times a week (yoga, weights, on-line workouts) I could do. I'd love to run again, but keep failing so maybe once I've dropped a few lbs I could try again.
I sort of started today... skipped breakfast, had lunch (soup and feta) and dinner (roast Mediterranean veg and halloumi) for dinner and black coffee and water only. No exercise. It's Monday! Anyone still out there, please let me know! I'm super eager 😊
