I've got the book from. Amazon (£6 atm)

Will do a shop Monday morning.

Am planning on OMAD, 800cal. Keto.

With lots of water and am giving up Pepsi max (which will be extremely hard as I'm addicted)

Can I join too please? Thanks for starting this OP
I did the Fast800 keto last year pre wedding and lost a stone. Hard to start with but once you get in to it it's a little easier.
I did have red wine at the weekends though and plenty of it .
This time I need to lose 12 lbs and have 8 weeks so will also increase movement as Im sitting at a desk all day. Just taken up paddle boarding at 53 and LOVE it !
Good luck everyone.

How long did it take to lose a stone?

I need to lose 2.

Maybe a bit more but 2 would take me lower than I've been in a decade!

mumzof4x · 02/06/2024 12:13

Hi
It took me a while about 8 weeks but I didn't stick to it at the weekends and had wine so really slowed it down
If you follow it to the letter it's really quick .

Ah I don't drink at all so hopefully it will come off quickly. Though a stone in 8 weeks is great

I didn’t manage to start this week as we were on leave and then had a few social things on. I’ve stocked up today for good fast800 meals for the next few days! I’m really determined this time, I have 8 weeks now til I go on holiday and I know it will be a huge difference if I could lose 8lbs- I imagine I’ll weigh in at 10.12 or 10.11 tomorrow after this week, so 10.3 would be amazing- that’s my super skinny weight.

its my ds’s birthday tomorrow so I may struggle to stick to 800 as I will have a piece of cake, but otherwise I will be proper on it this week. I know I will find 800 hard for the first few days.

Roosits · 03/06/2024 06:55

First week's weigh in.

Monday 27th May - 12st 5.5lbs
Monday 3rd June - 12st 0.5 lbs

5lbs loss. Very happy with that!

mumzof4x · 03/06/2024 08:19

I've been having:

Omelettes with cheese and veggies
Tinned tuna, mayo salad
Salmon and veggies
10% Greek yoga with berries and walnuts
Home made meatballs with salad and cheese
Grilled halloumi

LittleSF · 03/06/2024 09:43

So it's weigh in day after the end of week two and I am 11lbs down from 20th May when I started. I've also lost 2 inches off my waist.

Am absolutely thrilled and determined to keep going - I know this rate of loss will slow down but my initial goal is to have another 8lbs off by 22nd June which I think is possible.

I'm using the Fast800 app and dipping into the Keto recipe book now and then. I do think the warm weather has helped, am living on salads. And the chicken fajitas with Cos lettuce.

I'd cook it up in a sauce made with a little onion, garlic, cream and parmesan cheese and seasoning.

Add in some brocoli etc.

Hello.
I've bought the fast 800 keto book and recipe book. I plan to spend this week reading them and making a two week meal plan to start on 10th June.

I haven't weighed myself in a while but think I will be around the 15 stone 3 lbs mark.

Four stone loss is my goal.

This thread has been a great inspiration.

mumzof4x · 03/06/2024 12:01

@BigBoysDontCry
That sound delicious and will make .
DH has frozen the darn chicken and left out the beef fgs.....however will make your recipe later m this week and sounds delish thank you !

BigBoysDontCry · 03/06/2024 12:12

No worries, there are lots of fab recipes out there. I have a good one for chili (no beans if keto) if you want for your mince?

I don't do keto anymore but got my blood sugars down and keeping them down with low carb so I still cook mostly low carb/keto meals.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 06/06/2024 06:36

I haven’t had the best start to be honest, I find the 800 calories very hard. It was my son’s birthday Monday, yesterday and Tuesday I tried but wasn’t successful. Today it feels like it could be my day.

I’ve planned my meals out and it’s all good, but the problem is stopping the grazing/snacking, especially when wfh. I’ve got a busy day today so hopefully that should help. Yesterday I managed 1100 cals but was only 30g carbs and today I’m down 2lbs so that’s very motivating.

I’m going for a run this morning, I’m fully expecting it to be horrible after such low carbs yesterday. I also do a YouTube series of strength exercises. Maybe I will need a few more calories on those days I exercise, I will have to see how I get on.

How is everyone else doing?

mumzof4x · 07/06/2024 07:36

@BigBoysDontCry the chicken was delicious
@thenewaveragebear1983
How's the meal prep going? You sound so organised.

Going okay here.
2 meals a day and try and hang out until after 1pm for the first which is often eggs or pre batch cooked minestrone low carb soup (blue book delicious and freezes well)
Have a lovely glut of tomato and chorizo soup made too
Fri night so thinking lamb koftas with the dip and some Greek salad with some red wine because it's Fri .
Lost 3 lbs since Mon but think I've pee'd it out tbh

thenewaveragebear1983 · 08/06/2024 07:44

How’s everyone getting on?

I’ll be honest, I’ve found the week hard and I have not stuck to the plan. The low calories and low carbs has really been difficult for me. There’s been sweets and treats in the house which I just haven’t been able to resist. I’m going to try again this week but not keep so rigidly (or fail to keep!) to 800 calories but keep the carbs low and use that to help me keep to calories . I find 1400 a good amount for me, I can eat my meals but it’s enough to actually see a loss and not feel desperately hungry.

last week after holiday I was 155 lbs ish, this morning I am 151.2 so that’s a good loss this week. I’d like another pound or so a week until my holiday.

LittleSF · 08/06/2024 10:53

Doing okay - I've lost 13lb so hoping to lose one more by Monday so it would be a stone in 3 weeks. Weekends are hard though - I'm doing fine on food but too much wine at the weekends. I know if I skipped the wine tonight & tomorrow I'd definitely lose it. So that's the plan.

Just had Greek Yogurt and blueberries for breakfast and it's so lovely (the Tesco Finest Greek yogurt is so creamy). I use Flavdrops too, just to add some sweetness. Use them in my black coffee too.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 09/06/2024 07:09

We went out last night to Ds’s football awards and came back with friends and dc and ordered pizzas- I did have a few slices but in the night oh boy I was so ill. It wasn’t the drink so I’m guessing it must have been the food, but finally at 2am I stopped throwing up abc managed to sleep. So while my calories were crazy yesterday, I’m guessing not all will have been ingested 🤮

I’m going to try again for low carb this week. I need to plan my meals better and have more green veg, as I did find last week I was hungry. 800 cals isn’t really viable for me but I can definitely do 1200 and have a strict week.

I love Greek yogurt too @LittleSF , the Asda extra special one is nice but quite expensive. There’s a Lancashire farms one which is really solid almost like skyr texture which I like. Or the big pots from Lidl. I tend to buy individual portion pots though even though they are more expensive because otherwise I eat too much of it!

LittleSF · 09/06/2024 10:59

Oh I hope you feel better soon.

I failed in my own challenge and had wine last night - so now focusing on the goal of losing 7lbs before 22nd June for my birthday night out.

I'm sure there's other threads but given that a good few of us on this one are following one Dr Michael Mosley books or plans, I just wanted to say how sad it is now his death in Greece has been confirmed. His One Small Thing podcast is something I listen to all the time. He seemed like such a lovely man.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 09/06/2024 11:24

I agree @LittleSF , really sad. I followed his blood sugar diet a few years ago, and have always liked and respected his work. So sad 😢

It is so sad. I bought the new treat book last week and it looks great. RIP.

Slow to this one but I'd like to join.

Any ideas for very quick lunches at work? I currently usually have a pot noodle (for convenience). I don't have time to prep so would ideally buy something appropriate from the supermarket in our weekly shop. I don't want to make salads etc because it will derail me and only options at work are sandwiches or pizza. I thought the overnight oats looked nice but not sure about bringing it into work...

I think I'll need to start next week as have just had the food shop. I have bought the book but not finished it... I would like to lose 10kg for health reasons.

Difficult as am very stressed at the moment but am hoping support here will help me kick start some healthier habits!

Good luck all!

CompluterSaysNo · 09/06/2024 14:40

Have tried searching high protein low carb instant noodles on Amazon but the results contain so many sponsored posts I can't work out if there's anything like what I'm looking for!
