Feeling sick, dizzy, headache

I'm on day 5 of a low carb diet (approx 50grams of carbs a day) and even though the food is enjoyable and keeps me full I am feeling terrible! I feel sick, lightheaded, fatigued and have a bad headache. Did anyone else have these symptoms and if so, how long did they last?

I'm doing one too. My bowels are all over the place. I don't think it's that good for me tbh. Need a big bowl of muesli or porridge to get my digestive system going.

The cravings stopped after about a week btw. I'm not hungry but I don't feel 'great'.

It’s keto flu.
Up your electrolytes. Use something like lo salt on food it has potassium.
Or take the electrolyte drinks you can get in pharmacies where you drop a tablet into water.
Hi 5 zero is one brand.

It's carb flu - or keto flu - as @ChimneyPot says.

It is temporary though.

You need sodium, potassium and magnesium, which you can get in the High5 supplement, but also look to get these from your food as well.

So - cook with salt, and add salt to your food. Sodium is especially important, so don't be afraid of the salt. In the immediate term, you could have a hot drink made from Oxo or Bovril or Marmite.

Food sources for the others are salmon, avocado, spinach and full fat yoghurt.

@TaraRhu if you're low carbing 'properly' then you should be eating plenty of veg and salad, and drinking lots of water - both of which will help with digestive issues. You really don't need the muesli or the porridge - all they're doing is adding carbs back into your diet.
