I've been doing low carb for 3 months and have lost a stone. I have problems with bloating after eating carbs so this diet has been perfect for me. My 'upper stomach' had gone very flat and I was happy with how it was going.
However, it was my sons birthday last Saturday and I ate carbs at every meal. It wasn't excessive amounts of food, but it was basically nothing but carbs all day. I felt nauseous going to bed and my stomach was back to it's old bloated, solid self.
I still felt ill the next day and went straight back to my diet. Well, 6 days later and my stomach is still hugely bloated. It feels very heavy and I've been having stomach ache this whole week. I haven't deflated at all. Everything online says it's gas but it's not. Sorry if TMI but I'm not very farty or burping at all. My stomachs making loads of noises.
Is this normal, has anyone else experienced anything like this? I can't believe it's still so bad after a week.
