14 Boiled egg challenge

I am woman who weighs somewhere between 95-100kg

I also have PCOS, and it's making my life a nightmare. I am very desperate to lose weight yet have 0 discipline in myself to actually do something to the end.

I am on day 4 of this 14 day boiled egg challenge which consists of only 900 calories a day. May I say, I am really struggling and the thought of eating anymore eggs makes me want to be sick that I would rather not eat.

Has anyone participated in these challenges before, and did it help you or work? I want some advise about what my best options would be.

I have a child already but unfortunately lost 3 other pregnancies, and I am desperate to have another baby and I feel I failed failed pregnancies due to my weight and having PCOS.

That sounds awful, why are you doing that? I've heard of the egg fast but that has more fat and cheese is allowed. It also usually only lasts 3-5 days but you do get a bit sick of eggs by the end.

PCOS is characterised by insulin resistance. The two best ways to improve insulin sensitivity are intermittent fasting and a low carb diet. Given that you're willing to do this egg diet you shouldn't have any problems with cutting out carbs. We have a Low Carb Bootcamp starting next month however the threads run continually so you can start any time with support from others on the same journey. Once you've adapted to eating low carb it's much easier to introduce intermittent fasting where you eat in an eight-hour window and fast for 16 hours, e.g. going from dinner at 7 p.m. to breakfast/brunch at 11 a.m. the next day.

Have a look on the Internet or ask in any PCOS groups you're a member of. Lots of people have achieved good success with this approach, both to relieve their symptoms and to increase their fertility.

Stop!

14 days?!

That doesn't sound good at all.

Google egg fast. Everything I've seen about it says 5 days MAX. And it's not just eggs, it's fats along with it. In fact with egg fast you are supposed to have at least x amount of butter with each egg.

If I were you I would just do one more day where you have something like:

breakfast: scrambled eggs in butter with cheese

lunch - same, if you can face it

supper - omelette with cheese cooked in butter, you can have herbs on egg fast too so pop some in.

Then stop!
