Cereal diet

Hi, me and my partner are wanting to try the cereal diet... it says online to change 2/3 of your meals a day to cereal. My dad told me he did the diet but he had cereal only 3 times a day, has anyone else done this and would they recommend it ?

Wasnt that a ridiculous fad started in the 90s to sell more cereals?!

ferntwist · 30/06/2020 20:10

Sounds interesting OP, I love cereal! Can I ask where you saw the diet? I hadn’t heard of it.

Each to their own but Isn't this the absolute opposite of low carb?

SoooExtra · 30/06/2020 20:23

How would this be considered low carb? It sounds more like all carb. But I’m interested to hear bc I do love cereal. I assume the diet includes Froot Loops.

Errrrr this isn’t low carb !

dementedpixie · 30/06/2020 20:30

Its not low carb. I'm sure I've seen it advertised on TV in the past. You have cereal in place of 2 meals and then a nutritious balanced dinner for the 3rd

Emmie12345 · 30/06/2020 21:48

Yes it’s was in the 90s, special k diet !

This is completely the opposite of a low carb diet @Laurenxoxo!

I will confess that back in the day (before I saw the light about carbs) I tried this, but it made me feel so ill, as my blood sugar levels were all over the place, I had to stop after only one day.

Don't do it!
