Keto help

I'd really like to try Keto, I've got about 2 1/2 stone to lose 😱 & I'm doing slimming world, but it's not budging!

I am really trying to find out about Keto, but all I seem to manage to pull up need to be paid for, so I'm struggling to even find out the facts about it & how to do it, & obviously I really don't want to pay for (another) diet that I don't get on with/isn't right for me, so is there anywhere I can get a Keto diet plan to try for 7-14 days for free?

I would get involved with low carb bootcamp on here. Basically Keto and free and really supportive and helpful expert posters

I bought a couple of cheap recipe books and am trying to pick it up from there and what I can find on the internet. Uk you’re right the pop ups asking for you to sign up are really annoying.
I’ve just completed day one so I can’t say if it works!
Good luck

You can sign up for a 1 month free trial at dietdoctor.com, there's a huge amount of keto/low carb information and recipes on there.

I use it in combination with my fitness pal (free version) - I've set my daily target for kcal, carb, fibre & protein on it (there's a protein intake calculator on diet doctor) and that helps me make food choices as I adjust to this new way of eating. I'm not doing the 'full keto' as I'm calorie restricting which they tell you to avoid - but I've got 15kg to lose in 3 months and I just don't believe it would happen if I ate lots of fat!!

Don't overlook the fibre - keto can be quite constipating! Avocados and psyllium husks are your friends...

Good luck!

Second diet doctor. You don’t really need to pay the subscription once the free trial ends, though I do as I like their meal planner. For me it’s worth the £5 or so a month

I’ve lost 3 stone and have found it very easy

Come and join us on Bootcamp! It's not keto, which is really strict, ideally 20g carbs per day. But it is a low carb plan. Because it's on here, it's totally free! If you go and find the Low Carb Bootcamp topic, you'll also see lots of stickied threads with some great recipes on them.

We're in week 5 right now, but you're welcome to jump right in and join us now!

There is a fb group called easy keto uk and they have loads of useful information and help.

I've never paid for any diet plans or apps and have been doing keto for a while now. Don't waste your money!!

Good luck.
