How long did it take your body to enter Ketosis?

I'm on day 6 and have been super strict. I just bought some urine strips and it was very pale, suggesting I am at the lower end and have few ketones in my urine. Did anyone else take longer to become ketogenic? I feel I am consuming more fat than I usually would for nothing! So many friends lost loads of weight during their first week and I have lost nothing....

Thanks!!

If you're drinking enough water then the strips won't work anyway

Tailfeather · 05/08/2019 15:37

@YesQueen Oh really? Because it's too diluted?

Yeah exactly!

Try using the strips first thing in the morning - that might help.

Thanks @flowerpower18 . I have tried with every wee throughout the day!

Just so worried I am eating too much fat for nothing! If I don't reach Ketosis then presumably I'll put weight on..?!

As long as your carbs are low whilst eating fat you shouldn't be gaining.
Have you read up on the science of lchf? Once you understand the mechanics it makes sense.
Watch Dr Berg he spells it out in videos about 3 minutes long .

About 3 days on less than 20g carbs a day. I test in the morning, first wee.
