Am I supposed to be counting net carbs or just carbs?

Daft question alert! When aiming to reduce my carb intake (which I read as anything between 50g to 20g a day), and I taking that straight from the back of the packet, or do I subtract the fibre first?
Thanks! I'm a complete newbie

Not a daft question! It's confusing when you see that. It's only in the US that they subtract fibre from carbs. Anything you buy here, which should have UK-appropriate labelling on it, you take the whole carb count

Thanks BIWI! I'm on day one and trying to get my head around it all! It still feels very unsettling that I had a sausage with my breakfast!

(I hope it was a low carb one - did you check the label?)

Low carbing is very counter-intuitive, because for years we've been fed the line that carbs are good and fat is bad.
