I think you really have to find your "sweet spot". My DP can regulate his weight pretty much to the pound after a year of bulking, cutting, bulking, cutting etc. He knows what to eat calorie wise but also macro wise, although his is very over complicated due to training etc.

For women it might be trickier due to natural monthly fluctuations but I'd say the theory is sound. Write down daily calories and carbs and see if you gained or lost at the end of the week. Reshuffle as required. Or perhaps try something like 5:2 / carb cycling if you think it will suit your lifestyle better?

There is a maintenance thread somewhere in the Bootcamp topic (although I think it's fairly quiet!)

My best advice would be for you to set a range of weights that you're happy to see on the scales. Your weight will fluctuate naturally day by day, but I'd suggest that you have target + 7lbs as your range. Weigh yourself relatively frequently - once a week perhaps? - and if you see a trend upwards that goes beyond the +7lbs, then you need to take action.

But really well done on achieving your target, and good luck with maintenance Star

Hi
I'm at maintenance weight. I've found it easier to pretty muck stick to LCHF. Then about once a month I have a proper cheat meal - Pizza Hut, fish and chips etc. Then back on the wagon again.
I've had a little carb creep the last week and I've put on 2lbs. Nothing serious, mainly pinching a few crisps off the kids' plates and a few higher carb count sausages. That will slowly drop off so I don't mind.
I think it's about trial and error and working out if you are going to fall face first into a loaf of bread if you have half a slice
Grin

Oh, yes, I have a window too. Mine is about +3lb. It's never minus Grin. That said when I went on holiday in May I put on 9lb!!! I felt and looked pregnant!! 5 llbs went in a week. It took about a month to get rid of the rest. I didn't feel good with myself for falling off so badly. I try to save myself for food I really like rather than any old carb that's close to hand!!
