Low-carb diets

LCHF help

Been doing LCHF for a week and I'm bloody STARVING yet I'm eating loads. I haven't weighed myself yet but I'm sure I've not lost any weight and even more sure I'm way outside my calories (not that I've been counting them). What am I doing wrong? I am drinking a shit tonne of water.

Today I've eaten:

Breakfast: full fat greek yoghurt with linseed and a few blueberries

Lunch: scrambled eggs (3, made with butter) with spinach, pancetta and parmesan

Between lunch and dinner I had a bit more greek yoghurt as was starving

Dinner: Fried courgettes and fennel with a chicken breast (skin on). Served with a mound of broccoli in garlic butter

Any thoughts? Advice? I'm so hungry and I'm really struggling with lack of sweet stuff.

First, you're probably adjusting to it. Second, I'd up your protein a bit. Try having something like bacon and eggs for breakfast. Or some (low carb) sausages with mushrooms.

Honestly, the appetite suppression will kick in soon!

Thanks BIWI. I'm just wary of eating too much processed meat (also I hate mushrooms).

This morning I've had absolutely loads already - two mini frittatas left over from yesterday, greek yoghurt with linseed, avocado, tomato and radish salad dressed with olive oil. Bottomless bloody pit!!!

Are you only eating when you are 'genuinely ' hungry and now.by the clock or when you think you 'should' eat?

I can only eat 2 times a day eating high fat.

I have no calorie goals but I do log them. I eat roughly 1400-2000 calories a day. If I stop when I'm 'no longer hungry and not when 'I'm full, I get better results. This is what I'm supposed to do. I've been eating this way from Jan first and my bloated tummy has completey gone and my trousers have already started to sag.

I may start exercise I shall but I don't weigh myself as The scales are a liar. They do not give you a true representation of body composition. I take quarter turn pictures in the same tight clothes. I also use a measuring tape and measure all body parts. This will give you better more accurate feedback on your progress.

Keep a bowl of hardboiled eggs in the fridge and snack on them. Dunk in mayo to increase fat intake. (Mayo mixed with a dab of grainy mustard is gooood.) When I'm adjusting to LCHF I go through at least a dozen hardboiled eggs in the first week. It tails off after 2-3w.

Also drink masses. Every time you are hungry, have a good drink. If you're still hungry then have something to eat.
