Protein accompaniments

Back on LCHF after a while off it.

Have got some lovely lamb chops for dinner tonight and a bit stuck as to what to put with it.

I've been eating protein & salad for a while now, so looking for alternatives/accompaniments if anyone has any ideas.

TIA!

Buttered spinach?
Buttered cabbage?
Mashed cauliflower (with butter!)?
Broccoli?

I've just had a google and tonight I'm going to do roasted med. veg and (maybe cheesy) mushrooms.

There's some lovely recipes here though that I'm definitely going to try: www.huffingtonpost.com/lisa-rae-pfeffer/20-low-carb-side-dishes-t_b_9486298.html?guccounter=1

Have a look at the recipe threads in the Low-Carb BootCamp topic. The threads are pinned to the top and now split into Meat dishes (beef, lamb etc); Meat dishes (poultry); seafood dishes and vegetarian dishes (which includes crackers, "breads" and pizza bases, as well as salads, instructions for how to cook microwaved brussels in butter (I've introduced a few people to that vice delight Wink). Lots of inspiration Smile

I'll have a look through :)

Would something like a ratatouille be too high carb? Whenever I am trying to go lower carb and am bored of salad that's my normal go to meat accompaniment.

I'll have a look and see if there any low carb recipes, I've never made ratatouille before so I don't know what goes in it.
