Hi all. I’ve been very interested in trying low carb to shift this baby weight, I have 2 stone to lose. I can’t find a simple answer online though so I’m hoping someone here can help! My baby is 9 months and still breastfeeding, will a low carb diet make my milk supply drop? I’ve been having a go at reduced carbs for 4 days and I’m going to the loo a lot and maybe I’m paranoid but I swear my boobs feel different Confused I don’t want to start proper low carb if there’s a chance it will interfere with milk supply.
Thanks if you know anything

I have low carbed a few times while BF - it has never affected my milk supply. And my milk supply is very affected by things like my babies' tongue ties so I was worried, but it was fine.

Perhaps try it gently - not the LC Bootcamp but Bootcamp light - and observe baby rather than boob? So check nappies still wet and dirty when usually wet and dirty, see if baby wants to feed more often or is satisfied, etc. Make sure to drink more water than you think! If you have doubts, you could always try cutting back refined sugars and keeping some low GI carbs? Or boost your veg.
