Can somebody talk to me about low carb and wine. I see people talking about no wine but i've seen other websites stating that while beer is basically liquid bread, red wine is better and allowed.

Spirits tend to be low carb. Wine is okay in small quantities (e.g. a glass or two a couple of times a week). Beer, cider and alcopops are very carby and should be avoided. The bigger issue with wine is the alcohol. Your body has to process it immediately and while it is doing that fat burning will stop. So any amount of alcohol will slow your weight loss. Some people find they can indulge occasionally and still lose weight, other people find they have to cut it out entirely.

Right oh. It's going to take a while to get my head around all of this. Thanks.
