Hi all
My DH has about 4 stone to lose and wants to do keto diet. I'm currently 40+2 Pg and I have a DD aged 21 months. We are both also vegetarian. I do all the cooking (quite happily) but don't think me or DD should do this. Anyone got any tips on incorporating this diet into our daily meals? Any tips welcome!

Tricky when vegetarian. But essentially remove the carb portion of his meal and replace it with fat. A huge dollop of cream cheese or half an avocado with mayo. Vegetarian meat replacements can be high in carbs and low fat so choose some high protein options like eggs and tofu. Cream butter and cheese will be your friend.
Btw it is perfectly healthy to remove grains from your diet and that of your daughter. But needs investigation if not eating meat.

If you do some advance searches on here there are a couple of vegetarian low carb recipe books you can buy that have been discussed. I think Rose Elliott does one. Try googling 'low carb vegetarian' and 'primal vegetarian' for some ideas. I believe on the low carb bootcamp topic they have ideas for vegetarians so hopefully BIWI will be along with some ideas!

You can add in more nuts and seeds too.
