Slim pasta is a brand of products made from the konjac plant . It is not the same as the pasta in the article mentioned above.

Konjac noodles are very popular in China and you can usually find them in a local Chinese supermarket in the refigerated section for cheaper than the Slim products. They are refrigerated as they contain a small amount of tofu which gives a better texture.

All konjac noodles/pasta/rice do require a bit of practice in cooking them just right and don't be put off by the smell when opening a packet as this just rinses off.

They are also known as Shirataki noodles.

I've eaten the konjac noodles a couple of times and each time have woken up that night with serious nausea! Has anyone else had this? It sucks because they are brilliant.

Can't say I have. I'm cooking spag bol tonight and will have them in place of the spag. I love them!
