So am thinking of cutting out bread from my diet for 2 weeks - can I still have ryvita and crackers etc or do I need to cut them out too?

You cannot have ryvita and crackers or anything that is made of flour

But you can have gluten free bread (and cakes). Grin

Thanks! Will give it a try :)
Just had soup at lunch today when I usually have bread or a sambo with it. Starving all afternoon. Will bring banana and other snacks in tmrw Smile

Are rice cakes okay?

It really depends why you are giving up bread - going off gluten? then rice cakes are fine, trying to low carb to lose weight then rice cakes aren't great.

I used to give up bread alone because it was too convenient and allowed me to over eat very easily.

Oh dear. Trying to lose weight. So crackers and rice cakes are out? What would be something I could substitute if I just want a quick lunch to bring to work and have had enough of salads?

you need to increase the protein in your meals to stop the hunger - so add some chopped chicken to soup or bring some protein based snacks in such as nuts or chopped eggs - banana would be digested really quickly and make you hungry as mainly simple carb
