Morning everyone. Hope you all had a good weekend and that there wasn't too much cheating! Grin

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

So we have four weeks left. Time to shed a good few more pounds if you stick to the rules

I go on holiday in less than three weeks, so it's nose to the grindstone for me from now on.

Well maybe 4lbs by tomorrow or Monday Negroni! Makes sense what you say about the carb creep. I sometimes find myself going for a tablespoon of Total or a slither or two of parmesan when grating it over DD's pasta and then forget all about it I so don't think of it as a proper snack and forget to log it...
True to wanting what we can't have, I ( pear shape) always gets jealous of those apples with slim legs who can wear skinny jeans or leggings with a floaty top!
Onwards all!
Heading homewards shortly. Weather looks more cheery so may stop off at supermarket and get cold meats, salady bits for this eve!

Ive no idea what body shape I am, apart from "round" :(

tigerchair · 14/06/2013 17:34

I'm an hourglass and I'm not happy with my shape either unless I'm much lighter. If I put weight on it goes straight to my hips, bum and chest. So tunic tops/maxi dresses hang from my boobs and make me look pregnant and skinny jeans make my thighs look massive. See, we're never happy Grin

BIWI · 14/06/2013 17:43

I think the moral of this story is that the grass is always greener on the other side! Grin

ChippingInWiredOnCoffee · 14/06/2013 18:45

Thanks for all the nice comments.

Tigerchair I'm an hourglass too, which was lovely when I was 20 & sub 8 stone. A few years and stones later... not such a good look & hard to buy clothes for, for sure! But still - we well all be svelte this time next year (some of you a lot sooner for sure!!).

A question re coconut oil

Has anyone tried more than one brand and if so, which do you prefer??

I'm getting tempted to try it, even though the thought makes me a bit gaggy - but if I'm going to try it, I want to buy the nicest one!!

If you've only bought one but think it's really lovely - which one do you have?

thebestpossibletaste · 14/06/2013 19:16

Willie we probably go through 2 small jars of mayo between 2 of us in five days.

captainmummy · 14/06/2013 19:28

Chipping - i'm an hourglass too, but these days my boobs and hips seem to meet, so my (small) waist gets lost!

Coconut oil - I use a jar from waitrose, can't rememebr the name, but I couldn't eat it from the jar. Too much like coconut vaseline!

CiderwithBuda · 14/06/2013 19:46

Thanks BIWI!

Back from school summer fair. Shattered. But resisted cake. And chocolate. And Pimms. DS wanted pizza for dinner so I ordered Dominos for him. Resisted that too. I haven't drunk enough water today but will try make up for it tonight. About to treat myself to a cup of tea.

Might have a bath later and then an early night.

Re body shapes. I am an apple and normally on other diets my stomach is the last to go but on this it's definitely smaller.

ChippingInWiredOnCoffee · 14/06/2013 19:50

captainmummy Too much like coconut vaseline! that's what I'm frightened of!!

tigerchair · 14/06/2013 20:01

I use coconut oil bought from Tesco, the Groovy Food company organic virgin coconut oil. Smells divine but the actual stuff looks more like a beauty product. Have just tried some neat from the jar for first time and it tastes like.......coconut vaseline!! So this brand probably better for coffee or cooking (or applying to skin after bathtime)

CrabbyBigBottom · 14/06/2013 21:05

God it pains me to do this - I am now officially middle aged - but I'm going to admit that I wear M&S Marilyn jeans. Blush Blush

I've tried on hundreds of pairs of jeans over the years. I've tried on every style in Gap, many many times over. Always the same story - if they fit over my thighs and arse, they gape at the back of the waist. If they fit on the waist, I can't sit down in them due to life-threatening constriction around the bum and thighs.

These M&S ones are designed for hourglass figures (they've got three styles, each designed for a different body shape). They fit on the waist and also on the arse/thighs, and are high waisted, which is much more flattering than the muffin top hipsters. Oh god, someone shoot me now. I never thought I'd wear high-waisted M&S jeans. Sad Sad

BIWI · 14/06/2013 21:28
Grin

My best, i.e. most flattering, jeans are also from M&S. Worse, they are their version of Basics/Value/Essentials!

I have a blue pair and black pair. They were £12.50 a pair.

But they fit really well and look great.

And they are a size 8. What more could a middle aged woman girl want?

OP posts:
LilyAmaryllis · 14/06/2013 21:39

I won't shoot you Crabby I will probably go and try them on!

What a lot of news, well done everyone and welcome back wagon-jumpers!

I used to be a pear but then became more of an apple or ice-cream cone. Was size 22 on top and size 18 on bottom. This WOE is uncovering my inner pear again.

AND.... Today I tried on two pairs of size 16 trousers. Neither quite suited me but both of them very definitely FITTED! I am down a clothing size, yay yay yay! (and on top I am now either 20 or 18, bought a size 18 top today.)

BIWI's low carb diet: its not the food that's expensive, its the new clothes...

tigerchair · 14/06/2013 22:07

I foresee a rush on M&S jeans...Grin

Will have to check those out BIWI and Crabby!!

thebestpossibletaste · 14/06/2013 22:24

Crabby, do you know which M&S jeans are made for apple shapes? I struggle to find jeans that are snug on the bum and don't cut off the circulation around waist/tummy!! I think the difference between my waist and hips is only 6 or 7 inches!

BIWI · 14/06/2013 22:32

These are the ones I have - they don't appear to do dark blue ones any more

To be honest, I sort of bought them out of desperation, as my other jeans were all too baggy/big, and it was a bit of distress purchasing. I fully intended them to be a stopgap until I found some nicer ones. But they are brilliant!

OP posts:
BIWI · 14/06/2013 22:33

I'm sure that the style & beauty crew will find plenty to criticise, mind you Grin

OP posts:
CrabbyBigBottom · 14/06/2013 23:03

best they have three styles for certain body shapes; Marilyn, Eva and Lana. Try this www.marksandspencer.com/Your-Style-Adviser-Womens/b/2610496031

BIWI glad it's not just me! Grin I like M&S clothes, there's just a psychological barrier about wearing their jeans. It was a watershed moment for me. Grin

tiger when I looked up the link for the Marilyn jeans to put on here, I found that they've been half price in the sale - I was going to leap on that and buy a size 12 to aspire to. They're all sold out though. Angry

Well done to the week's losers and a big well done to Buda for resisting the lure of the cake stall.

Pretty well done on the job interview and enjoy spending your vouchers.

Willie we need to start a narrow-chested-huge-norks low carbing group. Wink

Ewan thank you, glad you like it. Smile

Kiwi well done on the stone! Sorry to hear you've been laid up with migraines that must be really awful. Thanks for the blog comment. Smile

Food today
B - few mouthfuls mozzarella and parma ham, 2 little tomatoes
L - bulletproof coffee which was lovely but left me feeling just as wired as usual coffee does. I love it, but it makes me crazy. Sad
S - spicy nuts
D - black farmer sausages, celeriac mash, broccoli and crispy shredded cabbage
Half a bottle of red wine Blush and loads of water.

Will noone claim the recipe for shredded crispy cabbage? I'm sure it was here I got the idea but I'm buggered if I can remember from whom. I searched the last few threads but can't find it. Confused

ToomuchIsBackOnBootcamp · 14/06/2013 23:40

Evening all, and just to say very well done to all the losers reaching milestones, it's brilliant.

black welcome back we missed you! just a few pages back before you reappeared, I asked for your blog link for aubergine melts as I would love to try it!!

NewStartNewStory · 14/06/2013 23:55

crabby it is not just you. my only pair of jeans atm is a pair from m&s They fit pretty brilliantly. And a long enough in the legs and don't. I have a pair of new look size 14 that have shrunk so badly that they are actually smaller then the size 10 clothes in my wardrobe. And there is nothing more depressing then thinking you have grown out of clothes when you are trying to shrink out of them. Otoh the fact that they were suddenly 4 inches plus too short did kinda hint that perhaps all was not right. I agree with the psychological issue of m&S though. Seriously considering getting next pair of jeans from them as they have been brilliant although secretly hoping to shrink into the ones that are pre ds and still sitting in my wardrobe so can avoid clothes shopping

Rulesgirl · 15/06/2013 03:37

Just marking my place....your all doing sooooo well. Want to read more.

CrabbyBigBottom · 15/06/2013 08:59

New all us M&S jeans gals can link arms and do a middle-aged denim-clad tango! Grin

Black could you link to your blog again please?

BlackAffronted · 15/06/2013 09:22

Toomuch & Crabby, here is the link to my blog linky :)

Yesterday went well, perfect food all day :)

B - eggs in coconut oil, cooked chicken
L - salad, coleslaw & chicken drumsticks with skin
D - This roast pork recipe with creamed spinach & buttery green beans

Have started today with eggs, bacon & loads of fried mushrooms. I have my daughters birthday party this afternoon, but will avoid the sandwiches & cupcakes!

letsseeificandothis · 15/06/2013 09:32

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Now I know I'm going to have put pounds ON this week.
And BIWI will notice!

(But still, with a little tiny bit of pleasedness, as this bootcamp has really been good for me. Thank you, BIWI and others, for all the time, work and information you have given.)
