Have been low carb for nearly 4 weeks and loving it. The meat for my low carb dinner tonight has gone off so in a last ditch attempt to rustle up something to eat, I mashed tuna in oil with some cream cheese. I decided to put a few pasta shells through the tune and cream cheese. It was enough pasta to fit inside the cream cheese container (don't ask!) So not much. Now I'm worried I've spoiled my run and I'll gain weight overnight. Any thoughts on this? I've been doing so well!

Try not to worry, remember you are mainly following low carb and this little blip wont do any damage. I had the weekend off for my birthday, ate some garlic bread, roast potatoes and a naan bread. I had a temporary gain of 3 pounds but that has now gone again and I am back on track, there will be occasions where eating the odd carb will be unavoidable and it wont do you any harm, remember how much you ate carb wise previously and I expect this is very small in comparison. I tend to think of it, if I eat low carb for the majority of the time I can allow myself something on special occasions (weddings, birthdays, Christmas etc) knowing this will be just a little blip, in the same way if I have alcohol, it wont mean I will get drunk. Its in moderation so don't be hard on yourself x

It's absolutely fine just carry on low carbing. Don't weigh yourself for the next 5 days though but if you do it's water weight and will come off.

Drawing a line is absolutely the right thing to do.

Much, much better than deciding that f**k it, might as well go for it and fall face first into the starchy carbs and take ages to get back in the waggon.
