BIWI · 12/09/2022 09:07

Morning all

As ever, here's the spreadsheet

So our last week. Still time to drop a pesky pound or two. Or four or five if you're @Jollyholibobs DH!

And welcome to @WantSomeEqualitea - unfortunately you've joined us right at the end, but we always have a chat thread going, so there will be plenty of us here to support you, and answer any questions that you have. Just because Bootcamp finishes after this week doesn't mean that we stop low carbing either, so there are always other Bootcampers to 'share your journey' with.

I'm happy to take responsibility for all or some of a Pre-Christmas Boot Camp @BIWI if you want a break Flowers

It would help ensure that I kept focused Blush

I started a January Boot Camp for you once while you were away on holiday and I found it very good for keeping myself accountable Grin

I'm happy to help out by posting. I've been quite quiet on this BC because I've been bimbling along maintaining, and also doing crazy school run commutes, but happy to help with queries and generally encourage.

ditavonteesed · 18/09/2022 07:40

Totally understand if you get bootcamped out @BIWI, I'm also happy to help in any way I can. Now dd is enrolled at uni I finally coming down from the adrenaline and functioning like an actual human being (ish).

My plan for today is to get in the garden and plant the huge sack of daffodil bulbs so I can have a pretty garden in spring.

venusandmars · 18/09/2022 13:33

I too will post more if there's a pre-Christmas bootcamp.

I'v e had a very busy few months - which has not been good for posting, or for sticking to BC rules - plus a few challenging things going on in wider family. Then last week I was in the outer Hebrides. Stunning scenery, lovely weather (mostly) but good Lord the food!! There were a few wonderful seafood options but mostly black pudding rolls, cake and coffee Blush.

Life should be much more settled after mid October and I really need to get back into a routine of yoga / walking / swimming - for fitness, mobility and mental health.

I am so massively grateful to @BIWI et al for Bootcamp. The way of eating really suits me very well and after years of steadily rising weight I'm finally (sic) on a downward trend for weight and fitting into loads of clothes which have been waiting patiently in my wardrobe to fit me again. Bless 'em, I still have a long way to go and can easily see sticking to this as the way forward to avoid putting all the weight on again.

Happy to post more often and to be 'spreadsheet monitor' because it will encourage me to remain focused on the straight and narrow of the rules. I'm afraid I only ever seem to post when it's going well so it will be win win for me.

CleanQueen123 · 18/09/2022 16:54

I'll definitely join in and post on a pre-Christmas bootcamp. This is the longest I've ever sustained low carb and I'm not about to throw in the towel now!

@CleanQueen123 😀

Merryoldgoat · 18/09/2022 18:36

I’m a further 3lb down this week so 18lb since start of August.

Its been (broadly speaking) fairly straightforward but I am starting to miss chocolate quite severely.

I’m going to keep on as I’m already in smaller clothes and I’m excited to buy some new clothes in a few months.

CleanQueen123 · 19/09/2022 08:24

Another 2lbs down. I'm only 4lbs off having lost a stone now. KOKO!

comfortablyfrumpy · 19/09/2022 09:42

Another week, another 1lb down. Thihght I felt a bit slimmer!
Koko ladies ! We can do this.

I baked a low carb chocolate cake last night, as we will be watching funeral with friends (baked high carb version too). Looking forward to the cake as haven't had any cake since Easter. It had better be bloody good!

Sunsnowsun · 19/09/2022 09:55

Morning all, I would also be happy to post more if you do a pre Christmas boot camp, I know that I have been a bit quiet this bootcamp.

I am also someone who is very grateful for bootcamp and this way of eating, I joined midway through, having done several boot camps before, but had fallen out of the low carb and the weight had slyly slipped on . It has now thankfully started to slip back off 😀 and I am 8 1/2 lbs down in about 6 weeks which included a nearly 3 week holiday in France and a couple of meals out.

I am going to keep going KOKO so will be on the chat thread.

Lougle · 19/09/2022 10:39

Morning! I've weighed this morning and I'm 2.4lbs down. That takes my total loss since May to over 2 stones - 27.1 lbs. Very happy with that.

Lucienandjean · 19/09/2022 11:57

@Lougle well done! That's really good going.

ditavonteesed · 19/09/2022 15:17

@Merryoldgoat and @lougle well done. And to everyone with losses or koko.
I'm 1lb up on last week but I'm so happy with that, I started a week before boot camp and am half a stone down from then. Back into my maintenance range (although only just so could do with shaving a couple more off for comfort). Last week was very off wagon for me so I'm having a couple of strict weeks to get my mojo back.

Lougle · 19/09/2022 15:19

Thanks @Lucienandjean and @ditavonteesed ☺️

@ditavonteesed well done for your ½ stone.

comfortablyfrumpy · 19/09/2022 15:53

Well done everyone!

Reporting back on the chocolate cake.
I cant lie. It was absolutely heavenly. I can't believe it was only 2 5g net carbs a slice.
I am going to freeze most of it in portions for comfort treats :)

I watched everyone eat my high carb Victoria Sponge and didn't feel I had missed out I even passed on my friend's amazing scones.

comfortablyfrumpy · 19/09/2022 15:56

^^ 2.5 g not 25g !!!

Chocasaurus · 19/09/2022 16:05

Well done everyone. I've not weighed in today due to being away and on my period, but will be KOKO now bootcamp is over 🙃

BIWI · 19/09/2022 20:04

I'm so sorry everyone - I completely forgot that I had to start a new chat thread today Blush
In my defence, we're off on holiday tomorrow, and my SIL arrived yesterday, so there's been all the catering, packing and then funeral-watching.
