Many apologies for the late start this week. We have family here, and I've spent this morning fixing Lego, watching CBeebies and making toast, coffee, coffee, tea and more coffee!

Anyway, here as ever, is the Spreadsheet

Hope everyone had a good week, and here's looking forward to a good week 5 - hopefully we're now out of the doldrums of weeks 3 & 4!

Feeling really tired today. 😴😴

B: a few nuts
L: egg mayo, plenty of salad, a piece of Brie.
D: lamb kebabs, stir fry veg, avocado, mayonnaise
S: a spoonful of FF yogurt.

Trying to keep up with the water but it never gets any easier! I almost never feel thirsty anyway, so it's hard to remember to drink so much.

Lougle · 23/08/2022 21:58

I'm having a bit of a yo-yo moment. I was 58.5kg two weeks ago. I dropped gradually to 57.2kg, then I've gradually increased back to 58.5kg. A bit weird but no big deal. Just KOKO!

ditavonteesed · 24/08/2022 05:21

@Lougle that's not even a pound and a half, well within normal fluctuation range.
@Lucienandjean weird about the water, I found I'm more thirsty now, do you have zero tablets in it, makes it taste nicer. Also fruit or herb tea is good, I drink a lot of camomile and butter mint which I found out about in here and is heavenly.
My weight is going in the right direction again and I've hit my first mini target which means I can buy some new gym leggings. Now just to pick some, I saw some with aliens on they might win.

Lougle · 24/08/2022 07:41

@ditavonteesed it's almost 3lb but still, no big deal. Today I've dropped 1½lbs again, so it's clearly either water weight or hormones. My migraines have been quite bad.

Frenchpoodle · 24/08/2022 08:25

Food for today

B: Greek yoghurt and raspberries
L: Jerk chicken, avocado and FLGV (courgette, green beans and broccoli)
D: Bolognese (lots of extra veg added) with green salad and cheese on top

Baystard · 24/08/2022 10:32

@Lougle when I'm cycling normally (I'm in peri so don't always) then migraines and weight gain (3-4 lb fairly common) seem to go hand in hand during the last week, i think something to do with oestrogen rising. Also hungrier than normal at this point too.

Chocasaurus · 24/08/2022 19:15

Got a little boost today when a friend noticed I'd lost weight and said I was looking great😁extra motivation to drop into the next stone bracket and beyond.

Food today has been good, although did have a coke zero when I was out for coffee this afternoon as didn't want to not sleep tonight!
B - scrambled egg with butter, avocado and chorizo
L - slice of ham and a few chunks of cheddar, plus a couple of blackberries I'd picked this morning
D - roasted aubergine, mushroom, tomato and haloumi served with a sprinkling of toasted pine nuts and rocket
W - 3 litres so far and will have another glass later

Been v hot here today so feeling a bit wiped out, hoping it's cooler for the commute tomorrow!

Baystard · 25/08/2022 09:01

It's lovely when people notice @Chocasaurus isn't it Smile

Hope your migraines are settling down @Lougle.

I actually had a nap yesterday @Lucienandjean , I was really sleepy after lunch and decided a 30 min nap, grateful to be WHF Grin

@PennyPinkPineapple how's your tummy, are you feeling any less bleugh?

I'm clearing out the freezer ready to fill with batch cooked stuff for the autumn so this week we're working through frozen leftovers and random odd bits. Tonight is a platter of small bits of king prawn, salmon fillet, sausage, black pudding and roast ham!

I ate everything in sight yesterday but stayed largely LC and I'm not too worried - my body obviously wanted feeding. The scales are up a little this morning but the trajectory is downward, all good.

ditavonteesed · 25/08/2022 09:07

@Chocasaurus it's ace when people start to notice your weight loss isn't it. I used to love it and then after a while it became a bit tedious as it's all anyone wanted to talk to me about.
I had a lot of problems adjusting to not being overweight as I found people treat me differently and I don't like it. Think I've mainly adjusted to it now but when I think about it too deeply it still puts me about.

ditavonteesed · 25/08/2022 13:23

GCSE results went very well. Fighting cake cravings today but winning so far.

BIWI · 25/08/2022 14:10

Winning on two fronts then @ditavonteesed Grin

Good news

Ugh...holiday...hospitalisation...pneumonia recovery...2 day sodding hen party...excuse excuse excuse but I just cannot seem to get a proper run at this! Enough is enough now, I have a 4 week run with nothing in the social calendar and determined to get a proper grip on this stone I put in this year ☹️
I know this WOE works and is delicious too so need to get myself in the zone. So I am back. Again. I WILL DO IT THIS TIME!!!

B - black coffee
L - massive salad with tuna, feta, artichoke, red pepper, olives and capers
D - roast chicken thighs with cauliflower, brocolli, courgette and mushroom
S - some M&S cooked bacon

3L water

ditavonteesed · 25/08/2022 18:31

Low carb trauma, dd1 order maccys and her came but they also gave us someone else's order. Don't know how to contact them and presume they won't care but I now have 2 double cheese burgers, fries and various other yummy things sat on my kitchen side.

Dd2 is having Chinese as her results day treat and I have ordered lovely low carb treats but this maccys is testing me to the limit.

ditavonteesed · 25/08/2022 18:32

Blimey @bella1426 that sounds like quite the set of circumstances hope your feeling loads better

BIWI · 25/08/2022 18:54

Oh my goodness @bella1426 that's an awful lot to contend with. But sounds like you can now start to PLAN your next four weeks.

I have a lot of sympathy - it's very hard to get back on the wagon when you fall off!

We've had family here recently whose diets are pretty limited, so it was easier to go with the flow - which meant a few carb-heavy days. I didn't even really enjoy them, to be honest, even though I thought I might.

Stay strong @ditavonteesed!

We're having sort-of Spanish chicken tonight - chicken and chorizo, with onion, garlic, chillis, black olives, capers and tomatoes. Served with asparagus and whatever other vegetable I can find in the fridge!

maccys is testing me to the limit.

Does it help you to think about how you would feel after eating what is appealing to you?

Don't eat it, feel good and your self esteem will be stronger.

Eat it, don't feel great

This is what gets me through. I felt horrendous pre low carb and since starting I haven't had a single occasion of bloating, trapped wind, acid reflux and generally feeling shite.

ditavonteesed · 25/08/2022 20:06

I didn't eat it, I had my lovely salt and pepper ribs and some duck from the pancakes. Was much nicer anyway. I'm full and smug.

bella1426 · 25/08/2022 20:19

Thanks all..it's been a tricky couple of months but feeling motivated to just crack on now.
Well done @ditavonteesed - I probably would have scoffed the burgers and cheese on their own 😂 (and I wonder why I can't lose any weight 🙄)
Good to know salt and chilli ribs are compliant...what else are good take away options? I'm not a massive take away fan as I have the fear of so much of it being crap processed food but would be good to know what could be options every now and then

PennyPinkPineapple · 25/08/2022 20:32

@Baystard I'm feeling a lot better now thanks but the beginning of the week was a struggle. I ended up having a pretty off plan breakfast on Tuesday morning... a handful of raspberries and 90g (yes, you read that correctly) of dark chocolate. I can't explain why I wanted it but I felt better afterwards and have been very good since. Although if there was an unclaimed McDonald's cheeseburger sitting in my kitchen I'd probably snaffle it immediately @ditavonteesed 😅

PennyPinkPineapple · 25/08/2022 20:35

@ditavonteesed oooh I just saw your update, good work!

Does anyone know what is a good choice from an Indian takeaway? I'm guessing some sort of dry chicken or lamb dish with a side order of spinach but I do love a sauce...

BIWI · 25/08/2022 21:28

@PennyPinkPineapple yes, basically anything tikka/tandoori (as long as it's without a sauce). Chicken shashlik is one of my favourites - a chicken tikka skewer with tomato, pepper and onion.

Pair with a side like cauliflower or spinach or mushroom bhaji.

Hi everyone, just catching up after my big move last week. Unfortunately I think I'm going to need to step away from this bootcamp - without going into excruciating detail, our vendors pulled out and in order to relocate the 400 miles for my job and keep the rest of the chain together we've had to move in with family. They are being so kind putting us to while we get this mess sorted that I just can't impose my odd (to them) dietary foibles as well. I do know this WOE works so I'll be back for the next bootcamp once we're in our own place and I can control the meal plan! Good luck to the rest of you 💪🏻

BuffyTheBuffetSlayer · 25/08/2022 21:54

Hi @BIWI I know I'm a bit late, but if its possible could I be added to the spreadsheet please, this is day 8 for me. If its too late I'll just do it alongside if OK 🙂

catwithflowers · 25/08/2022 22:17

@ChairOfInvisibleStudies , Good Lord, that sounds super stressful ☹️. I really hope things work out for you.
