I'm almost at my target weight after a couple of months of LC . But I'd like to reintroduce rice pasta fruit bread and legumes in a controlled way - i have been doing around 50g of carbs a day from veg mainly . What might be reasonable as the next step? Any one know any resources for this? Thanks

You could pop onto the current Low Carb Bootcamp thread - week 8 I think. There are quite a few people there who maintain/have maintained for years at a time and would probably have some good advice.

As for myself, I have to be very careful - I can add back in small amounts of rice/potatoes/legumes/fruit etc but if I add back in bread and pasta I’m off the wagon within hours and usually for months at a time. I simply cannot be moderate with those!

Sorry for multiple posts...an important thing to remember is that everyone has a different threshold for carb intake before it becomes problematic. So you just have to experiment a bit and see where your sweet spot is. Some people maintain by being fairly strict all the time, others are very strict in the week and relax a little (in a controlled way) at the weekend to allow for going out/eating out.

Thanks so much Nniiqie . I would be quite happy to be strict in the week but
To be able to relax a bit at the weekend and have a meal with friends without thinking too much about it woukd be my perfect outcome plus a bit of healthy carb fruit/ legumes/ pulses/ brown rice etc which I really miss . I think I will have to always limit bread and pasta as I just overeat both ! At least I know my weakness!
