Is there an easy book with simple recipes that is a good starter ?

Hi @Minkymoo74 I started Keto last year and practically lived by this recipe book for the first few months. The author is a form or chef who worked with Heston Blumenthol. The recipes are all delicious and not too complicated at all. There's photos of every recipe as well. It is seriously an amazing low carb / keto recipe book. amzn.to/3H4VlWC

Her second book is just as good! I love them both. amzn.to/3EjY90g

@WineGetsMeThroughIt

Aha. Would you call these recipes easy and quick? I need easy and quick!

Some of them are yes. But these are flavourful recipes that will ensure success. I think the second book is probably easier and faster recipes.

I can't remember specific ones from the second book, but the first has chicken tray bake, prep ahead breakfasts, easy muffins, cauliflower cheese which is amazing, some fantastic desserts. It is my most used recipe book ever, and I have quite a lot - pre and post keto

Have you checked out the recipe threads that are stickied at the top of the Low Carb Bootcamp topic?

I second the books by Monya Killian Palmer, especially the first (keto kitchen). All the recipes of hers I’ve tried have been great. Especially liked the salmon and spinach in cream. She has a website too with more recipes on www.fatsoflife.co.uk/

The low carb boot camp topic on here has lots of recipes pinned to the top of its page too.

Thanks for that recommendation @NCnotmyusualone - looks like she writes some great recipes

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 01/01/2022 20:12

I thought about you the other day OP. Monya Killian Palmer will release her 3rd book this year and it will focus on budget recipes, and used things most people already have in their cupboards. She has decided almond flour (a keto / low carb staple) was too expensive for some to use, so none of the new recipes will use it
