Tips for carb flu

Just thinking about boot camp Monday is giving me that headache.
Whenever I have a diet adjustment (or skip a coffee it seems) I get the headache but I recall the Keto one being a killer. Whilst sometimes I just embrace the migraine and spend 12 hours in bed with cold flannels I thought I'd ask if there were any top tips for getting through it.
I did scroll to find a thread but couldn't see one.

This is my first boot camp so not tried and tested but I saw Bouillon mentioned, I picked up a veggie version in the supermarket.

Maybe lots of herbal teas too to take your mind off the headache but make you feel like you’re having something

It’s caused by an imbalance in your electrolytes.

You need sodium, potassium and magnesium (in particular)

For sodium, make sure you are eating plenty of salt. Cook with it and add it to your food. You can also make a hot drink using Oxo or Bobril or Marmite - or bouillon, as @Kerplunkk says.

You could also dissolve salt in a glass of water, and add some lemon juice.

Lo-salt (which you can use like ordinary salt) aid good for potassium.

Food sources for these electrolytes include salmon, avocado, spinach and full fat yoghurt.

Alternatively, you can buy electrolyte supplements - High5 make one called Zero, which you can buy from their website, or Amazon, or places like Evans Cycles or Holland & Barrett.

But make sure you keep your fat intake high, as well as all the water. And it should pass quickly.

Thank you.
I get it really bad but maybe short lived. A whole day in bed with a migraine but I took it as a well earned rest. Back in the land of the living today.

Your electrolytes are still important though, so keep an eye on those - especially salt. With the amount of water you drink on Bootcamp you need the extra salt.
