Struggling with meat

Takingontheworld · 03/06/2020 15:30

I'm about 2 weeks into keto and 10lbs down (scales haven't moved for 3 days Confused)

I was 80% vegetarian before and i honestly feel like I can't face anymore meat and salad.

I don't want to give up but can see it becoming difficult soon as it just makes me want to heave and salad is getting so old.

I have a lot to lose. Keto has curbed my cravings and i feel so emotionally level, I'm certain I've found something that suits my body... but I can't face the level of meat. I relied heavily on pulses and beans prior so struggling. Any words of wisdom?

this website (link included) has lots of info about a vegetarian keto meal plan that you could look into? it also includes a meal plan and recipes if you scroll down to give you some ideas x

There will be lots of recipes on the recipe threads (stickied at the top of this topic)

Also if you have a look at the current bootcamp thread (week 2) there will be plenty of inspiration for foods. There’s really no need to just be eating salads.

Apologies if you’re already on there and I haven’t recognised your username, my memory sucks.

The background is useful but the recipies are a bit faffy - I dent to go with diet doctor.

I had the same result on the Atkins. It made me ill even having tofu instead of meat, we're not all the same, a lot of people can't cope with too much protein There are lots of other foods that are low carb that are healthy and you'll still still lose weight with them, like whole rice. Spelt and or rye bread is also good.

Food Combining is a great way to eat; you don't have protein and carbs at the same meal.

I'm sorry but whole rice is not low carb!

And Bootcamp isn't about food combining.

Yes I have plenty of words of wisdom!

You really don't have to suddenly eat meat to lose weight.

Have you checked out any of the recipe threads that are stickied at the top of the Bootcamp topic?
