Carb Quantity Questions

Hi, I'm new to low carbing. Well I dabbled briefly last year but then had surgery so it all when to put.
I really enjoyed it, it totally stopped me snacking and I felt so much better.
So, I've been reading @BIWI threads which are so helpful.
I just wondered, what amount of carbs should I be looking for per 100g?
I just find I need a guide for when I go shopping, even the Greek yogurts have all different amounts. So if I know I should aim for, say 5g per 100g it would be a big help.
Thanks!

It really depends on what you're buying! For example, the carb count of Colman's English mustard is 13g per 100g, which makes it seem high - but I doubt very much that you'd ever eat that much in one go!

But in general, anything around/under 3-5g per 100g is OK - just be careful how much you're consuming.

When it comes to Greek yoghurt, the key thing is to make sure you're buying a full fat one, and a 'proper' one, not 'Greek-style'.

Total/Fage now only go up to a 5% fat version, which is 3g carbs per 100g. (They used to do a 10% one but have discontinued that for some reason).

But Sainsbury's Taste The Difference Authentic Greek Yoghurt (for example) is 10.7g fat per 100g, and 4.1g carbs. I think most of the supermarkets have a premium version like this.

If you go to one of the Bootcamp threads, open the spreadsheet which is linked to in each of the opening posts, and you'll find (on one of the tabs) a carb counter for vegetables, which will also help.

Good luck!

Thanks so much! My favourite thing last time was tesco finest full fat Greek yogurt with chia seeds and a squirt of honey. I know the honey is bad tho!
I did slimming world a few years back and eating mango and strawberries got me through. I love fruit so that's a big hurdle for me. I'm determined tho. I feel so heavy and sluggish at the moment and crave sweets and carbs all day.
