I know real food is better. Currently working from home and challenging doing low carb during the day. Any recommendations for meal replacement shakes?

Really? If you're at home, surely it should be much easier!

We honestly don't recommend shakes instead of eating meals. You need proper nutrition, from fresh food - and especially fresh veg/salad.

Nope, it should be shouldn’t it, it’s not easier everyone Is permanently eating or asking for snacks! We’re in quarantine too and stressed. Obviously bigger things to worry about at the moment it was just a thought so I don’t leave the house a hippo..

I'm sorry - I know it's stressful. I don't have small children any more, so just really have to think about myself! (DH can sort himself out during the day!). But genuinely - take a step back. Think about your food/meals and start planning. Take control (sorry!) and you should find that you feel a lot less stressed out about it all.

Because, in reality, you can't expect to feed other members of the family with meal replacement shakes, can you?!

Hi BIWI

Aw thank you. Did I low carb blaspheme by mentioning shakes. I have to say it’s just moderation when at home. Very challenging at the moment but then again not as challenging as what others are going through and small on the grand scale of things.

Thank you for you advice and support. Just all ate together, my hubby loves bread and brought two baguettes and two loaves (we all ready have a loaf)..... !!

If you really have to, then I'd suggest getting shakes from The Fast 800 website. They're designed as meal replacements (not just to be protein shakes) and are low carb.

There are low carb shakes available but you'll have to check the carb counts individually (ideally under 5g per 100g but the lower the better) as they're not directly sold as low carb. I would go for one that's designed for weight training rather than one that's for weight loss and I suggest you use no more than one per day and make sure you're having loads of veggies at your other two meals so that you're getting good nutrition.
